Establishment of an online business
Establishing an online business meant to sell phones may have various challenges during this pandemic situation. However, with the system development life cycle, the business can be developed to be sustainable at the end through the 7 phases of the system development life cycle.
Planning.
During the first phase, the business will determine the scope of problems
of starting the e-business and the solutions to the issues before starting
the business. The costs, resources and the time required to start the e-business
will be evaluated during this stage.
System
analysis and requirements. In this stage, I will be required to consider the functional
requirements of starting the e-business. At this stage, the system is evaluated
to find if it fits the needs of the e-business customers in the phone industry.
The needs of the end-users are taken into consideration during this stage.
System
design. The stage provides a detailed description of the features, operations, and
specifications of the phones that will satisfy the functional requirements. The
detailed description help in understanding the system better to meet
the needs of the end-users.
Development.
After the details are extracted, starting the e-business can start. In this stage,
I will be forced to implement several changes before coming up with a consistent
model.
Integration
and testing. In this stage, I would invite quality assurance people to test the
phones to determine if they meet with the initial business goals. That will
involves testing the procedures and programs used in making the phones.
Implementation.
In this stage, the e-business will be put in operation fully. Putting the e-business
in operation will involve selling the phones. Since the e-business has already
been tested to make sure it is sustainable, the old traditional stores will be changed
to start using the e-business fully.
Operations
and maintenance. In this stage, the e-business will be fine-tuned through the influence
of the end-users. The end-users input will add capabilities, and boost performance
to enable the development of e-business.
