Child welfare

Since I am a social worker, I feel that the program fits my career since I have interacted with most of the children in the community in which I have been training them on the essential life skills that can transform them. I have also been offering to counsel those who have various problems and helping them to cope with the hard times they have been undergoing (Healy, 2014). It is my ambition that I will be able to help children who highly need to be taken care of especially those who are living in extreme poverty, the orphans and the abandoned children. Being ready to go through the program, I will be better equipped to face a more challenging environment since I will possess the right skills.

Since I have previous interactions with the less fortunate children who are living in rural areas, I have experienced the problems that these children undergo. At the same time, I have worked with the community in trying to craft a means through which these children can get better medical care as well as education which is paramount in their lives. Working in the field is a familiar practice to me, and therefore I will be able to interact freely with the children, looking into their problems and helping them to air their voices.

I have paid a visit to various children homes and the experience I had in those institutions made me realize that the policies in place are still not satisfactory (Healy, 2014). It is essential that the policymakers have a clear image of the conditions of the children in native America and make sound policies on their welfare. Basic needs are met first and apart from these needs, having a more enjoyable lifestyle for them will aid in bringing up better citizens.

The more knowledgeable an individual is, the more likely that the policies that he will come up with will be ideal in solving a problem. The program will be child welfare system will be enriched as when I will be working with the rest of the team, better decisions will be made.
