Global superstores

The global superstore is an online retailer based in New York City. The online retailer deals with a broad range of products that meet customers’ needs worldwide. Global superstores have clients from all over the world, who originate from over 147 countries. One surprising fact about online retail is that it deals with more than 10,000 different products. The broad range of merchandise that it deals with includes office supplies such as staples and furniture such as chairs and technology such as smartphones. Even though Global superstores have a large market in many countries,  the highest demands are China, Germany, Australia, France, and the United States of America. The retailer sales in 2014 surpassed $4 million, which was an increase of about 26% from the previous year. Global superstores have been thriving by processing more than 17,000 orders compared to the year 2014.

Targeting the senior executives of companies

The manager of global superstores would target the senior executives of companies such as CEOs, COOs, and VPs of different companies who majorly deals with sales. There are several reasons why one should engage the CEOs; one of the main reasons is targeting them to get funding quickly and efficiently. Normally, the senior executive officer is the only member of staff in the company who can transfer funds from their company and pay it to the other to purchase merchandise. Therefore, by targeting them, the global superstore will have them aligning their products as top priorities. Getting on the senior executives’ agenda list means that the retail will be able to access funds regularly (author 2).

Secondly, targeting them will enable global superstores to beat the competition from the rival companies dealing with similar products. Reason being that most senior executives do not get involved in sales unless it has a powerful impact (author 2). Furthermore, engaging them requires a collaborative approach, which is very difficult without including all the members of the executive. The other reason is that targeting them bypasses the Naysayers. There are times when the IT department’s personnel and other employees can be against purchasing a product. In such times the only way the manager could get the product purchased is by involving the company (author 2). Whatever the seniors want to be done is done without delay.

Moreover, targeting them accelerates the decision to purchase the product. And lastly, targeting those executives assists the manager and his or her sales force to get past the company’s gates and gatekeepers (author 2).

Internal factors that affect the success of global superstore.

Both internal and external factors determine the success of a company. The internal factors that the global superstore manager has to consider so that the business thrives well include the employees, company culture, process within the company, and the company’s finances, among others(author 3).

The strength of the employees is a very critical factor that cannot be ignored. The manager of global superstores must ensure that every employee is well-motivated, very hardworking, and talented (author 3). The manager should also ensure that the employees work together to produce outstanding results.

Company culture refers to the way services are carried out in an organization. There are cultural implications that the manager has to put in place. The manager must ensure that the level of communication among the employees and customers is friendliness. Moreover, he should ensure that employees have positive values and attitudes so that customers are encouraged (author 3)

The process of a company refers to how it operates. It includes vital administrative procedures such as record-keeping. The manager should ensure that the company’s records are kept orderly and safely to gain customer trust  (author 3).  Finally, he should provide proper management of the finance and resources of the company. There is no particular organization that can operate when its funds have been misused from all corners. Inadequate funds can cause a company a lot of harm, and this is because it cannot even carry out its operations successfully or also pay up the employees.

Figure 1 shows the relationship between the sales of global superstores and their profit. Some of the deals have a negative profit ratio, while others have a positive profit ratio. From the information above, it is essential to note that higher sales do not necessarily mean high profit and that lower sales do not mean that the company has experienced a loss.

Figure 2 shows the profit margins of global superstores in various countries on the continent.

Figure 3 shows the category of products sold by global superstores. The most abundant type of sales being that of technology. The highest product sold under technology is smartphones.

Importance of data visualization to the technological branch of Global Superstore

Data visualization has several benefits that can be considered before bringing a new product into the technological market. Some of them are, it helps the company in the decision-making process, reveals the patterns and trends of production and sales, shows the relationship between results, goes deeper than traditional charts and graphs and operations and gives easy access to their data.

Firstly, data visualization helps to accelerate decision making in a business or company. When the technology company is considering releasing a new smartphone into the market, visualizing the data will assist the company in deciding whether to introduce it or not faster. R humans can comprehend data that is in visual form promptly (author 1). Therefore, data visualization speeds up the decision-making process.

Secondly, data visualization benefits a business in revealing patterns, trends, and progress of a technological company. When a company is considering introducing a new smartphone in the market, the manager has to go through the data of the trending smartphones and their progress. It is done to produce the best smartphones with better qualities. It also helps in maximizing the sales of the new product leading to more profit (author 1).

The other importance of data visualization is that it goes deeper than traditional charts when they are studied. Before a company introduces a new smartphone into the market, the manager has to visualize it to determine the countries where smartphone sales are higher. That is done to ensure that the new smartphone is taken to countries where demands are high (author 1).

Finally, data visualization enables companies to access their data easily. When a company is considering introducing a new smartphone into the market, the manager and the stakeholders have to access their data as quickly as possible to review previous smartphones’ sales. Data visualization helps display that data faster so that the mistakes done in the previous ones are not repeated (author 1).
