I had not developed an interest in volleyball despite playing it with my young siblings since a young age, and I had only taken it as an informal sport for keeping kids entertained. My perspective has, however, changed over the years, and my love for volleyball is unshakable. My love for volleyball is based on the fact that it is my hobby and that I have mastered its rules over the years; thus, I have less or no difficulties while playing.
Most people have at least a hobby that takes their time when they some time to pass. One’s hobby tends to be what they love most. My hobby has happened to be volleyball, although that has not stopped from treating volleyball as a possible career sport. When I was young, I played volleyball with my siblings and friends. Being among the youngest players, I always used to be disadvantaged, especially when I had to face taller players. Also, the poor understanding of the rules governing the game gave me a disadvantage, and I ended up disliking the sport. However, my mother was responsible enough to learn of my dying love with the game that had run down our family. She gradually started to help me in mastering the basic techniques in volleyball and improve my passion as well as a master in skills. My passion was majorly boosted by my desire to make my mother happy. I decided to start building my love for volleyball by making it my hobby because that would allow it extra time apart from the time from my daily schedules. Moreover, my mastery of volleyball skills and rules has played a significant role in improving my love for the sport.

Poor skill and rules mastery may lead to despair and diminishing of an individual’s love for a sport. M practice at a young age greatly improved my knowledge and mastery of the skills of volleyball. I have gradually learnt basic skills, such as serving, passing, blocking, setting, digging, and spiking. The initial stages were difficult, but consistency eventually gave me an advantage over time. Secondly, I mastered the rules of the game and helped me to avoid unnecessary fouling and misconduct. Primarily, volleyball is played b six players on each side and a referee oversees the adherence to the sport’s rules. The game mainly involves the use of arms and hands while attempting to roll the ball to the opponent’s court, which earns team points.
