Effects of Sedentary Lifestyle

 

Lifestyle is the way one decides to live his life or a way in which related persons may decide to live as a family. People can decide to live differently at their places of work, during their free time and even the way they conduct themselves. Sedentary lifestyle is when one decides to relax on their comfort zones like lying on the coach maybe doing bookwork, watching their favorite movies, using their tablets or laptops . Most of this people are always involved in little exert. Sedentary lifestyle may lead to the body contracting disease, affects the humor, leads to increase in body size.

The body needs exercise for it to be active and fight diseases. If the body is relaxed it contracts disease like cancer, high blood pressure and diabetes. This diseases are mostly contracted one does little exercise or no exercise at all and takes a lot of sugary food (P Agrawal, K Gupta, V Mishra…- Ecology of food and…, 2013 – Taylor and Francis) this types of disease can only be prevented when one moves daily doing a little exercise. When one is not interested in doing exercise he/she can do simple exercises like jogging and walking around to keep the body fit.

Little exercise results to good moods or good humor. Sedentary lifestyle leads to negative moods, this may lead to negative thinking. Being negative may lead one’s life into danger ( AA Weinstein, PA Deuster, JL Francis…- International journal of…,2010 – Springer) exercise boosts someone’s mood. When you do work the body produces hormones that help you feel good this hormones make you have good moods. Exercise makes one have a longer attention span.

 

 

 

When one takes a lot of food containing fat this might lead to body increase because no exercise is involved, the body is relaxed. This leads to obesity (DR Jacobs Jr – academic.oup.com). Gaining weight leads to stress and stress is harmful for the body. Weight gain isn’t suitable for our body it makes us feel uncomfortable. The body is unable to fight back after gaining weight. Incase of any disease the body is at risk and this might lead to death.

Sedentary lifestyle should be discouraged. Exercise/ physical activities are good for our health1, even though most people find it enjoyable when they are relaxed.
