Darien Dash is a successful entrepreneur and activist, the founder and CEO of DME Interactive Holdings and the Managing Director of The Movement Management Advisors, New York City. He is also a director and partner of several other companies, a visionary, high-bandwidth thinker and strategic advisor, who is highly sought-after in the nation. Darien has developed his career in strategic planning, portfolio management, and capital markets access in the areas of sports, media, entertainment, and cannabis industries.
With three decades of professional experience, Darien has been helping his clients see around the corners ahead on their road, identify potential opportunities and threats, identify strategic partnerships of high value, and have structured financing solutions. He has been an active advisor to government officials, multi-family offices, high net worth investors, entrepreneurs, entertainers, C-suite executives, hedge funds, private and commercial banks, and professional athletes.
Darien Dash’s family history is steeped in the entertainment industry of music. While at The University of Southern California, he partnered with his cousin Damon Dash to create the Roc-A-Block records, which later evolved to Roc-A-Fella records. Dash’s first taste of success came when they signed Jay Z and other hip hop moguls. He would leave the records company behind after graduation to start his own company DME Interactive Holdings, to tap into the digital gap that he recognized in the minority areas, with a mission to expand both the infrastructure and hardware within minority companies.
Darien believes in digital equity, especially for minorities who deserve access to the available technology and internet just like everyone else. This gap is what led to the creation of DME Interactive Holdings in 1994, the first publicly traded African-American owned internet company on wall street come the year 1999. His business and technological expertise, deep passion, and solid work ethic have enabled Darien to create his own success and that of the minority communities he is committed to helping.
