Relationship Between Aspects of Project Management
Poor scope management can lead to a change of valuable project funds to undertakings that were otherwise unidentified by the initial project scope which in turn leads to stress on the project schedule. It also possesses a potential threat to the project’s critical path. Poor time management in project planning can lead to shoddily done work this is because there are no deadlines to be met and the participants may, therefore, be inclined to create a lazy atmosphere (Anderson & Merna, 2003). Poor time management can also lead to the abandonment of the project because it may not be finished or properly done. Poor quality management can lead to delay in project execution, loss of confidence in contractors. Poor quality management has more adverse effects that are let on and this is mostly shown in accounting reports. Poor cost management leads to a reduction in accrued profits and a high-risk impact or likelihood. Without proper cost management, the project will incur tremendous losses and may fail as a result.
Mediocre resource management often prevents a major challenge to project managers. Due to poor human resources management, departmental managers are hindered from making informed decisions which can lead to project failure (Kock & Gemünden, 2016). Poor resource management can also lead to poor execution of well-planned tactics thereby building an unproductive and unbalanced operational environment. Poor Communication management can lead to detached team participants thereby leading to poor resource allocation and loss of productivity. This mainly disrupts the project management team it makes the said individuals fall out sync with each other.
