My name is Chandler Santos, and I am enrolled in your IS 3033-003 Operating Systems Security class. I wanted to let you know that I have internet problems, and thus the transition to online courses has been a struggle for me. I live in the country, and the fastest internet I can afford is 3 Mbps. This is typically fine for one person, but with my mother working from home and my brother also attending University, there are times the connection is so unstable that nothing loads at all.
The previous semester I had issues submitting large assignments and taking exams. I am worried that during exams, my problems will take longer to load, and I will get disconnected. This puts me at an unfair advantage against other students, and my grade will not reflect how much I learned, but rather how much I learned + my struggle with the internet.
I am requesting some accommodation for exams. Whether it be more time, being able to re-connect, being ready to go back and forth between answers. Whatever you decide would be a reasonable accommodation, please let me know, but I need something.
