Electromagnetic radiation and human safety
Abstract
The main important driver of economic growth and modern technology is the electromagnetic radiation wave. Human health is affected in the case of excessive application of electromagnetic waves, which is based on an electronic device. This report gives an analysis of some of the major negative results, such as sensory system collapse, brain tumors, and lymphatic system down, cartilage malformed formation from the proven studies investigation. The study of human cells within and outside the body is done in this report. The main aim is to investigate whether the electromagnetic wave is harmful or not.
Introduction
Non-ionizing radiation and ionizing radiation are the two types of Electromagnetic radiation. The main aim of these two types of radiations depends on their capability to break covalent bonds and ionize atoms or neither. Ionizing radiations have a higher frequency, and they are also ultraviolet, they are gamma rays and X-rays, while non-ionizing radiation causes two major limitations, which are biological and electrical. Moreover, there might be the production of explosive hazard and fire ignition in the case of radiation, which results in the formation of electric current. The radiation classes of the electromagnetic spectrum are classified as visible light, low frequency (LF), radio waves (RW), ultraviolet light, infrared waves (IW), gamma rays, and x-rays. The wave frequency is converted from one form to another. Due to slow oscillating frequencies, electromagnetic pollution is very significant as compared to the high sensitive light waves. Not all electromagnetic waves are slow since gamma rays and x-rays though very dangerous, oscillate very quickly as compared to visible light. The good thing is that the rays are not available in our workplaces and living. This report will discuss some of the electromagnetic fields’ health conditions since the electromagnetic pollution has been seen everywhere.
The scientists and researchers have found out that Non-ionizing radiation is the energy formation without higher frequencies, which is not risky to human health. Though recently, there is an emergence of some evidence which shows that there are some non- ionizing radiation frequencies that might have the ability to cause biological injuries. The two major cases concerned by the Non-ionizing radiation human health hazards are (1) production of extremely low-frequency energy waves which is emitted by power lines, power stations, and various electrical equipment; and (2) Microwave and radio frequencies that are produced from the technologies with wireless communication, cellular and cordless phones, and various electrical components. For example, there will be contamination of fresh water in case it mixes with contaminated surroundings. The same applies to electricity, which will be fouled as it gets in contact with the electronic equipment. Normally, the electricity that enters a building from the electric power line has a frequency of about 50-60Hz, but there is the pollution of power when it comes in contact with a lot of misleading signals with higher-frequency from the electrical appliances such as; televisions, computers.

Electromagnetic frequency
There has been the use of wireless communication in many years for point-to-multipoint and point to point connectivity across the whole world. TV stations, microwave systems, cellular phones, and mobile, FM, and AM radio and radar are the majorly known wireless solutions. The ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum are; Very Low Frequency and Extremely Low Frequency, via Microwaves and Radio Frequency towards the Ultraviolet light, Visible Light, Gamma rays, and X-rays.
Electromagnetic radiation effects on human health.
Mortazavi and his researchers founded out that there was a release of a less significant and disordered physiological process that was associated with the injury or the disease known as the Electro-hypersensitivity (EHS) from the electromagnetic radiation (Mortazavi et al., 2011). They also confirmed that it is related to a known metallic element. It was believed that the nonliquid metallic elements which were closely near to the proteins around the organs and the tissues incurred less danger. They also realized that the steady magnetic field that is usually generated from the cellular phones or other wireless accessories could create a negative effect on the mercury vapor that is released from the dental amalgam. The gradient of the dilute mercury increased in the saliva within the amalgam carriers, which brought consequences for the psychological tissue and the sensory system. Since mobile phones are normally used close to the brain tissue, it is normally influenced by the electromagnetic wave. Many researchers have confirmed that radiofrequency electromagnetic waves, especially from the base stations, affect the behavior and sensory system of humans. From the study of Heinrich S, as more people continue using wireless gadgets, they are forced to live under Radio Frequency electromagnetic waves, which affect their major health children.
Sauter studies showed that the person who uses WCDMA and GSM are the ones who are affected in a long period of time. He also stated that the electromagnetic waves released from the cellular phones somehow affect the body’s function. Within a period of nine days, he had examined 30 males under three different arbitrary electromagnetic wave in WCDMA and GSM 900. The examinations were carried out twice per day and within a fixed time. Attention test and vigilance test were carried out in both WCDMA, and GSM 900 cases and less significant issues were found which would not affect the health of human. From the tests, the effects of the period of the day were apparent on selective consideration, divided, and memory that work. The control time-of-day required was also underlined.
Effects on the lymphatic system
The hematopoietic and lymphatic disease can be caused by high-frequency electromagnetic fields, which may later turn to cancer. From the Hocking studies in Australia, it is observed that leukemia affects more adolescence than anticipated. He had reported a high turn-up of leukemia cases among children and grown-ups dwelling two kilometers from the TV transmitter stations (Hocking et al., 2014).
Brain tumors
The components of electromagnetic fields have the habit of misleading brain formations. Baldi test shows that there are still unclear reasons behind brain tumors (Baldi et al., 2011). It was also discovered that the subjects living within the region of the electrical cable were highly capable of facing the danger of meningioma when there was a mythical view of the increment but based on Baldi’s view on residential or occupational exposure to EMF can play a major role in the meningioma incidence. Baldi confirms that the cause of brain tumors fundamentally stays unclear and is among the dangerous components. They also examined the existing relationship between residential exposure and cerebrum tumors in adults.
Conclusion
Life is made much easier by the use of electronic gadgets. Day in day out, researchers have come up with new devices those the devices have some negative results on human health. Among all the limitations of these gadgets, electromagnetic disadvantages are immense. It is still not believed that the extensive use of electrical appliances and electronics has harmed in human health since there is no evidence of dangerous results for human life that has been recorded by the low-frequency Radio Frequency waves. Higher research has been done in the level of the cell, which focuses more on high frequencies. There are so many findings on the results of EMF on the level of cell, RNA atoms, hormones, particles, few proteins, intracellular free radicals, and DNA, which are indicated. The immense rise of mobile phone usage has become a major concern due to radiofrequency and effect on human health. Studies continue to give their findings in vivo and vitro to the cells. It has been confirmed by the researchers that brain tumors are influenced by electromagnetic waves as billions of humans are still using mobile phones near the brain tissue.
