Kilb Internet Pool: A Blockchain geared Internet Marketpool with an integrated Virtual Private Network and Enhanced Online Security.
- Abstract –
This white paper presents the idealized concept of a decentralized global Internet Market pool on aa Blockchain framework availed by Kilb. We are an Ambitious IT company that emerged on the List of companies Early in 2020. This will facilitate the trading of idle bandwidth for tokens that will be generated by the Program. This network per se is distributed across the world. This will also provide an innovative new way for developers, both new and Existing to build products that will potentially disrupt several markets, especially the VirtualPrivate Networks, VPN industry, cyber protection, business intelligence alongside software and mobile apps monetization.
- Introduction
Kilbs Limited is a company that was founded by a group of experienced IT technopreneurs and talented developers. The pilot driving force is the passion for the freedom of the internet, its global accessibility, Personal Human Rights, while online with their privacy and Data Security at the core.
On that note, we have developed a conceptual autonomous network tho be deployed across several Computers, usually decentralized across the Converging Internet. The core Infrastructure to run the Algorithms will be the Blockchain.
A network is therefore created which on a design perspective. It has its cryptographic algorithms for enhanced security and an economy based on the cryptography where tokens and payments are to be made (Nakamoto). This will facilitate the transactions between the different users that are trading, i.e., the hiring of bandwidth and the mining of the tokens. We hope that the menace of internet censoring will come to collapse and further boost the current marketability of the VPN Vendor Markets. The latter markets are front runners when the question of Cybersecurity arises (Lee, 2019).
- Problem/Market consideration
1.1 Major problems facing the internet
In the wake of the year 2020, the online community population increased to a penetration index of 59 %. This makes an average of 4.57 billion people (J. Clement, 2020). This anomalous growth leads to some political setups in increasing restricting access to the information to the very citizens that pay the taxes. This population is expected to Skyrocket in 2030, and more online Internet users will be growing. This is also coupled with the trend in developing countries adopting technologies to help them solve some of the problems they are facing on their eternal journey on the striving towards financial freedom.
The level of Censorship is also expected to vary as the population is changing and will increase directly. More Stringent Laws are expected to be put in force to helping to enforce this ban on the citizens from accessing the outside world. Such a problem can be visualized from China and Iran’s socialist government, where the population is barred from accessing most of what is happening in the world (J. Clement, 2020). Little information they are allowed to access is so much limited ad censored that there exist some Societal points gained on the discretion on the internet. Citizens are always in search of bypassing these censorship laws, and this solution is viable in solving this immediate problem.
Another Paradigm to be addressed by this solution is the denial of Information neutrality among all the users. By this, we implore that there does not exist equal information access to all the people connected on the internet. The worldwide web should serve all connected people with no bias. However, unfortunately, the governments’ Spy on the traffic that the users are transmitting over the internet. This generates the Data privacy Problem where Governments collect data of users, Cybercriminals, and Internet Service Providers and use the same data in making Corporate decisions without the knowledge of the users. Upon the introduction of Kilb Network, the internet will be bound to collapse as our solution Has been tested. The algorithms have been expertly designed for anonymity with an embedded Virtual Private Network.
Another problem that was aired in July 2019 by the famous Cybersecurity Ventures Report anticipates that the damages expected from cybercriminals will rise to $6 Trillion by 2021 (Morgan, 2019). The modern countermeasures of technical solutions today dictates that robust encryption algorithms are complex and, therefore, not accessible for ordinary people to use to protect their data. More to that is that they are expensive in terms of Financial constraints to acquire.
Finally, the Data rate while surfing the internet is crucial in ensuring your work is done. This is commonly referred to as speed. Due to the non-neutrality of the information accessible on the internet, the received signal’s quality is thus not evenly distributed. Furthermore, the quality of the content being generated is tending to require more bandwidth than before.
1.2 The current centralized solution
The current solutions available in the market help to try to overcome the Censorship issue but are often accompanied by a big dip into the Individual or corporate coffers. The answers are not, therefore, affordable to anybody who would want to use the service. The Vendors reap big from this opportunity. However, since our team is composed of professionals in the IT industry, we know the problems that lay unhandled by the Vendors not limited to the unclear billing policies, False log keeping, and the worst of all, a chunk of the bandwidth reserved for their commercials. Generally, conventional VPNs rarely protect client data privacy.

Our mission is to create a decentralized and fully autonomous VPN Network on the Blockchain with an advanced Unused Internet market pool geared by its crypto-economy.
- Our Solution –
Our Solution Encompasses the following;-
A decentralized Kilb Network
The Kilb Network attempts to deliver multiple services that can be used across all connected users. This network consists of nodes running Kilb distributed applications. Each node can act as a Consumer or the Provider of the Service, the Internet Bandwidth. Clients who consume from the internet pool pays for the service in terms of Kilb Tokens, the Agents, and provide for the services receive payments for the services. The Kilb Network Acts as the Intermediary and is responsible for all the authentications and resource allocations.
This project plans to create an integrated process that will allow the nodes, ideally the internet users to reach a consensus( agreement) among themselves and establish a degree of mutual trust across the network. Upon the system’s maturity, software products to facilitate consumption and provision of services on the platform among the nodes are developed.
The critical aspect is that Decentralisation is crucial, as the more the nodes that exist, the more secure the network becomes. This counters the possibility of a single point of failure from both the technical perspective and the Political class. Human Intervention is thus eliminated, and the robustness of the network is enhanced. We also aim to protect the privacy of Kilb Network users.
Decentralized applications
These are the engines that run on the top hierarchy of the Kilb Network Layer. They provide different services across all the nodes on the Network. Software and Applications upgrade is enhanced to avoid any interruption on the system by applying the Kilb Core Engine. This enables offering publishing and discovery, agreement signing and termination, usage-based payments for each unit of service, billing-driven access management, and powerful Application Point Interface that gives a comprehensive control of the service lifecycle. All these services are also completely open-source and decentralized and distributed across the network.

Kilb Core Engine
It is software-based and implements consensus-related algorithms and operations standard for any service delivered through the Kilb network. It is responsible for processing untrusted data in a trustless(sandbox) environment, verify that it can be univocally understood and processed. Finally, it automates common tasks for service providers and customers of the distributed application.
Service plug-in
This is also a software-defined and decentralized to provide a specific service on request by the Kilb Core Engine and using its API. It facilitates the inter-node trade between two users to allow Provisioning and Consumption of the services from the shared pool. It also acts as the Load Shedder to all consensus and routine tasks delivered to Kilb Core Engine.
- Summary
Secure Virtual Private Network
This product from the general perspective establishes Secure tunnels between devices, For instance, between one Computer and the entire Internet. It offers the service of anonymously surfing the internet from locations of choice by employing Device layer encryption protocols such as pptp and sstp, among others (Lee, 2019). This helps overcome the internet censorship and encrypts any data transfers while connected. However, in technologically advanced countries, the use of Deep Packet Inspection(DPI)-based blockers limits these commercial VPNs’ success. Furthermore, Data Servers can be configured to detect when you use a VPN; thereby, their viability as a solution to this problem becomes limited. Our Robust VPNs allow the surfing from any of the exit nodes with leverage on the cost incurred. Each node can either be a consumer or Provider of the internet to the pool, and payments are on the Traffic Difference Basis.
Kilb Network Agent Routers
Kilb Network Routers with configurable settings for dedicated agents are availed. This facilitates the utilization of the Near Field Communication in sharing VPNs that are connected to the Kilb Network. There a dozen prototypes that can be used for the demonstration purpose for the same.
Reduced Cost of VPN
With the advent of Kilb Networks, we avail the corporate providers an alternative to using dedicated servers for hosting their services. This eliminates the Limitations of the Number of IP addressing bound to occur as many people join the internet. This is despite the advent of IPv6 to counter this.
Therefore, it would be prudent to replace the dedicated servers with this flexible, robust, and yet very secure decentralized system. This also has a positive index of lowering the overall overhead costs for the VPN Providers.
A new Content Delivery Network(CDN)
As the world population embraces the internet as both a form of Entertainment and Business, the existing Content Delivery Networks powered by Dedicated Servers are always overloaded due to heavy traffic, especially from Streaming corporations like Netflix, Vimeo among others. Therefore as part of Boosting returns from our Infrastructure, we seek to provide a cheaper CDN based on Blockchain. The cost is attributed to the fact that we expect many nodes to be active to the Kilb Network, and hence the Work Load will be distributed across a large pool of nodes. However, this is feasible once we have a good client base.
