Jesus and the Cross
Question One
The cross stirs joy, thanksgiving, and gratitude within seeing that Jesus, through His death, paid all my sins, shielding me from the wrath of Gond. I feel grateful to him and am filled with joy that I am no longer indebted to crime.
Question Two
The time that I had to pay for someone else’s sin was when my sister failed to cook, as she had been told earlier. My mom being angry, punished all of us by grounding us. I felt so sad and mad that I had to stay at home with my sister, serving the grounding for a mistake that my sister had done.
Question Three
It means that God is full of remorse and selflessness; thus, he chose to overlook our mistakes and sins and pay it. It is different from how I used to know Him to be a God of vengeance and wrath. The fact that God gave up Jesus, His only son, is a depiction of the love and forgiveness.
Question Four
Sin is a very grave thing that should not be entertained and should be fought against. It also means that sin is so powerful that a man cannot overcome it by himself. The power of sin on men would only require higher power, which can only come from God.
Question Five
What Jesus accomplished on the cross encourages me as a social worker to serve others despite our needs and preferences. It promotes that service should be done sacrificially, overlooking our requirements and putting that of the others the priority. The assistance should also be done with love for others, and our motives should be for their good.
