Embedded computers and IoT have impacted my life in the following ways, in the daily life, I have been interacting with the embedded systems ranging from the ATMs to the latest control features within the latest automobiles. Embedded systems have impacted my life right from the morning I wake up as they play a crucial role in offering security and the alarm systems that can have kept my family and me safe and my personal belongings. I have the home alarm systems that have helped detect whatever is wrong within my surroundings.
Below are some of the security risks with the IoT; there has been a lot concerning the privacyconcerns that have left people using IT skeptical exposed to cyber-attacks and the theft identity. The majority of people who use the IoT have put the default or the hard-coded passwords that can get exposed to the security breaches. The above loopholes can be invaded by the cyber criminals where they can try to gain access to the systems and cause havoc on the users or the devices. However, these are some of the precautions that can help an individual overcome IoT security risks. The use of the IoT security analytics is very crucial since it involves the process in which we collect, analyze and correlate data that comes from various sources that can, in turn, help the IoT security providers to know some of the major threats. The use of public keptinfrastructure is also vital in this process to help overcome the IoT risk challenges. The above refers to a set of policies hardware or the software that is, therefore, needed during creation, distribution, and management. Consequently, it maintains encryption of data through the symmetric and the asymmetric process during the encryption process. The encryption and decryption of data claim that there is a good store of privacy and reduction of the issues that might be related to the theft of data.
Society, as a whole, has benefited from the use of IoT when it comes to the issue of outsourcing. It is a fact today that, majority of the industries are decimated and replaced by the online services, it is witnessed within the traveling firms, the postal services, and the print media.
