A Fair and Equal America
The development of a fair and equal America is quite realistic. The following is a list of objectives in my manifesto that can make the ideal dream of transforming America into a fair and equitable nation a reality. The fight against racism, setting proper policing structures, enhancement of equal job opportunities, correcting the judicial system and correctional facilities, setting adequate housing and medical policies, improvement of road structures, and lastly, the provisions of quality and affordable education for all Americans.
Fight against Racism
The topic of racism has been a big issue in America. The act of discriminating against individuals due to their skin color is quite unfortunate. Individuals of the black race often find themselves in the losing end when it comes to the question of racial discrimination. Unfortunately, they are mistreated and assaulted by the police during arrests and routine police patrols in their neighborhoods.
The issue is quite severe and should be addressed adequately. The plan transforms America into a fair and equal nation will be enhanced if we fight racism on personal levels. I will champion the arrest and immediate prosecution of individuals who commit racially instigated acts (Dajani, 2015). I will also champion the implementation of hefty fines and punishments for police officers who commit racially affiliated acts. Finally, social media will be used effectively as a channel of exposing incidents of racism to the general public and obliged authorities that handle racism cases.
Setting Of Proper Policing Strategies
The police department in the United States has been a blessing in disguise in the local community. The department has been used to do many commendable things in society. But on the other hand, the department has been poorly painted by a few individuals who engage in corruption activities and racially instigated acts. The behavior of such individuals has destroyed the good reputation of the policing department.
The following steps can develop the development of a fair and equal America. I will make sure that the police department has an independent body that deals with investigating harmful acts committed by the police. This will include the formation of independent tribunals that listen to investigate such a case. I will also mobilize the police department to stars community-based projects that will enhance the right relationships with the locals.
Equal Job Opportunities
The issue of job opportunities has been a vital issue in the United States. The youth are not guaranteed good jobs after they finish school (Holz & Athanasiou, 2018). Cases of corruption and nepotism are rampant in the job market as many individuals who are qualified and experienced miss the opportunities. This is quite unfortunate, and I will address that issue amicably in my manifesto.
I will make sure that the youth are well empowered not only to look for jobs but create jobs themselves. This will be realistic, thorough youth empowerment programs where they can get financial assistance to allow them to start their business. The other vital step in I will partake to ensure that various companies adhere to the ethics of job employment measures that I will propose and enact in the different judicial systems. The job seekers may sue the companies if they find the job selection process unfair.
Judicial System and Correctional Facilities
The American judicial system and correctional facilities have been on the spot over the years. Various reforms have been put in place to make the system fair and equal for all American citizens. Some have been quite successful, but others are termed biased by the various legal professional.
The following proposals upon implementation will lead to a successful judicial and correctional system. The legal system should increase the number of judges that are responsible for hearing various cases. The jury should be included in multiple judicial cases, especially in significant cases that include felony charges. The correctional facilities should be well maintained, and the number of employees working in those places should be increased. The juvenile correctional facilities should be constructed away from other facilities to safeguard the young ones.
Suitable Housing and Medical Incentives
The issue of housing and medical covers has been a critical issue in the United States. Citizens have the right to proper housing and decent medical shelters. In my manifesto, the problem has been adequately addressed (Alkaabneh et al., 2020). The average American citizen will be liable for a standard rent fee according to their work descriptions and earnings. Therefore the employer should include housing allowances for his employees.
Medical covers are vital necessities for every human being. I will champion for more funds to be implemented in the medical department that ensure every American citizen is covered universal health care policies. This will help not only the rich in society but the poor and vulnerable also in the community.
Conclusion
The development of a fair and equal America, which we all desire, is quite achievable. This dream can come to pass if the above objectives in my manifesto can be well implemented by the individuals who run for state offices. The ideas are vast and diverse but should be performed effectively by any patriotic individual that sits in a public office.
