Effective Human Relations
Question 1
Effective human relations within an organization entails the development of a positive relationship among organization stakeholders more so company workers. In relation, the environment oversees the development of effective communication upon which organization members get to understand each other and connect, which helps develop teamwork within the organization. The conversations further help build trust among members upon which they share ideas and information freely. The existence of trust also facilitates self-disclosure upon which members express their views on various topics which consider the opinions of every member in the process of decision making. The move helps avoid the occurrence of conflicts among the members since every member feels appreciated through consideration of their welfare in organization development.
Question 2
The study of human relations is essential since it helps improve the productivity and efficiency of an organization through developing a culture that seeks to attain the wellbeing of stakeholders involved in the production chain. In this regard, human relations identity possible problems related to inter-personal relation within the working environment that may affect the performance of a company (Reece, Brandt & Howie 9). In return, it develops resolutions to identified behavioural problem challenges to prevent them from occurring. In particular, it helps establish a productive relationship between oneself, one person to another and within a group at large. The move facilitates the development of morale and teamwork, which helps improve the productivity of a company.
Question 3
In cases where human relationships don’t get honoured, organization witness the development of conflicts which affects the satisfaction of company stakeholders. In relation, stakeholders fail to respect the differences among themselves and identify them as weaknesses through which they intimidate one another. The move facilitates the development of hate among the team members that further affects teamwork development and oversee the development of chaos among the team players. Furthermore, the management fails to consider the views of subordinates in the process of decision making upon which employees affairs do not get recognised. In return, employees develop stress related to a poor working environment which further affects their service delivery. Poor services discourage customers from acquiring company services opting for alternative companies. Based on regulated sales, companies identify losses and lose market share to their competitors.
Question 4
Concerning self-evaluation, I possess a director communication style. In this regard, I often seek to express and defend my point of view and also challenge points that do not fit my view. The character helps me attain contentment in the process of decision making since my opinion is often placed under consideration. Regarding my emotional style, I usually accommodate my emotion through upon which I develop actions based on an adequate review. In this regard, I do not rush to make conclusions instead take time and study the situation at hand upon which I identify the most appropriate way to handle it (Reece, Brandt & Howie 200). About motivation, I often develop motivation based on the desire to attain a particular goal. In this regard, I develop persistence and work hard to realize set goals both in person and within cooperation. In a chaotic situation, I often suppress my feeling to avoid reacting in an emotionally unstable manner.
Furthermore, I restrain myself from making accusations to other people. Lastly, I seek to express my views in a relaxed environment and the appropriate when the anger is under control. Among the values that define me, include respect for others, belief in myself, optimism and transparency.
Based on the knowledge acquired from this class, I have improved my interpersonal skills upon which I can easily relate with other people and earn their trust. The experience has further moulded me to become a vital team player who helps improve the interrelationship among various group members. In particular, I help reconcile conflicting members and prevent the occurrence of conflicts within an organization. Regarding stress management, I review factors facilitating the stress and find out a way to fix the existing problem. In the presence of excess job, I lay off some of the work to regulate the work pressure.
Furthermore, I often seek the company of friends with whom I can realize happiness and solitude. The ted talks presented in the course of the learning period have helped me in developing a new behaviour more so in anger management. In this regard, I have learnt to calm myself whenever I am fixed in a chaotic situation by controlling my emotions.
Question 5
About the knowledge acquired on communication from human relations studies, I have learnt the need to adapt to other people’s communication styles. In this regard, I often flex my director communication to align with the communication styles adopted by other persons (Reece, Brandt & Howie 69). The move helps me develop a versatile condition through which I acquire the endorsement from other team players and serves as a key team player.
