Importance of mission and vision statement
In any form of business enterprise, be it a small, one-person operation, or a large corporation, mission and vision statement is significant because it helps in achieving the business goals and drafting the business strategy. (Tankovi 2013)
The mission and vision statement helps the employees to know and understand the kind of people they serve, what they serve them, and how to serve them. The mission and vision statement makes the business work more comfortable, and with this achieving, the business goals become very simple.
The mission and vision statement makes a company to understand its present position and the steps it should take to achieve its objectives appropriately. The mission statement can also be used to change and transform the initial culture of the business organization.
The mission and vision statement are critical in business management because while the mission statement focuses on tactical aspects of the business, the vision statement specializes in the plans of the company and its success. ( Darbi 2012)
The vision statement also provides direction in which the business enterprise should go, and together with the mission statement, they help to create the business strategy and how to manage the business correctly.
The mission and vision statement also acts as a guideline to the employee on how he/she should manage and control the business appropriately without failure.
