Internal Business Communication at Starbucks
Part One
The attached document is an internal memo written to all employees aspiring to be promoted to store management and current store managers. According to Xxxx (xxxx), internal memos are used to communicate information that only regards the employees and all internal operations. The message in the attached internal communication was intended to convey the company’s offer to pay for a Master’s degree in Business Administration for two years for qualified managers interested in the Starbucks program. The memo encompasses more information, stating that the program is an extension of the company’s college achievement plan for the management position holders only, and the two-year course will be paid for by Starbucks. It also communicated the date of commencement of the program, which was to begin in June 2015.

Greetings,
Thank you all for your dedication and continued support. We are pleased to inform you that Starbucks will be offering to cover a Master’s Degree for all current store managers interested in two years. The program is intended to help the company to accomplish the college completion program for all Starbucks employees holding management positions in the company’s outlets. The aim of acquiring the Master’s Degree skills through the plan is to increase the managers’ efficiency at work and help them create a pleasant work environment for all Starbucks employeesStarbucks.
The program has been created for the store managers only. Hence, the other employees will only be eligible when they get promoted to store managers. We understand that some of the members of the Starbucks team have varying career interests and passions. However, the program is limited to the Business Administration field at present. We anticipate a successful implementation of the program and hope that you do too.
