The initiative aims to work on various ways to improve health and wellbeing. Some of these include;
Reducing the exposure of children to tobacco promotion and marketing.
Besides, the initiative promotes health and wellbeing by reducing the demand for tobacco and supply of it.
Lastly, the initiative supports the crucial support suitable for quitting smoking in society.

It aims to reduce smoking activity. The initiative ensures that every year the smoking rate reduces by ten percent in the society.
What is new or different about this initiative compared to other recent or previous strategies?
The new thing about this initiative is that it aims to fight smoking entirely in Maori. The action ensures that all people, including the children, should cease smoking, unlike other activities that allow only over 18 years to smoke only.

It reminds me to be smoke-free and, at the same time, ensure no smoking in the workplace. It also helps me to encourage smokers to quit entirely, thus making New Zealand a smoke free nation.

What is the goal of the initiative?
Supports the Whanau Maori, who are homeless. This is done by using tikanga Maori.
How does this initiative aim to improve the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders?
The initiative helps the community to access the basic needs. According to,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the initiative has helped more than 350 homeless Maori to access food, shelter, and clothes. Through this process, it has become easy for action to enhance health and wellbeing.

The initiative works with other initiatives in Maori to provide accommodation services. The initiative has partnered with Let’s Get Real to reduce stress and stigma faced by the homeless people in the community.
What is new or different about this initiative compared to other recent or previous strategies?
The initiative is always looking for homeless Maori people. The spirit to help homeless individuals with new homes together with adequate food and other crucial needs makes the action unique from some of the programs in the community. It has also partnered with a couple of organizations to eradicate the spirit of homelessness.

The initiative strengthens me to be supportive and kind all the time. The spirit revealed by the action supports me and my workplace to come up with new supportive strategies to help those who in need.
