Based on the assignment, it is evident that the United Nations is working towards sustainable development goals that promote decent work and economic growth. Here, they encourage sustained economic growth with higher levels of technological innovation and productivity among all people. Youth employment challenges, sustainable growth factors, business in Asia and the problems accompanied by the task at hand will all be discussed.
Young people in the labour market are faced with various difficulties concerning their employment experience. As a result, these challenges include disproportional engagement in low productivity jobs. It affects employee engagement towards a particular task and can significantly reduce productivity and delivery. Other challenges faced are low remuneration and poor working conditions presented by the company or organization. Since the youth make around 22 per cent of the total adult population, more research is being conducted to attempt to define such challenges affecting the youth. Therefore, in East Asia, Goal eight has been formulated to help in improving the lives of the youths. It includes access to better health services, better education and enhanced transport, water and energy resources.
Based on the main article. Goal 8 has provided steps needed to ensure sustainable growth of the economy alongside reducing environmental degradation. It also strives to create full employment for all valid age groups and targets better education and work delivery for young youth. It is because the youth are important in the proper economic, political, and social growth.
Business in East Asia has been crippled with a rise in the increase in the levels of poverty. In East Asia, the youth population is also on the rise as there also exists higher rates of unemployment witch brings unrest and satisfaction. The 8th Goal thus proposes a productive work environment for all people, especially the youths and work towards a steady solution. The financial services offered also enable people to enhance and manage their investments and income. Transaction accounts have also proved to be useful as they are essential for a more pronounced economic growth.
Regarding the problems, concerns and solutions that have been brought about by the Goal, it is evident that East Asia has lived through several decades of economic growth which has impacted the region positively. However, the area still faces structural weakness in the labour market as the rate of unemployment is expected to rise by 34.4 per cent. A solution offered for such a problem is to use policy responses for the East Asian Member states. It would improve not only the skills of many individuals but also strengthen the rights of the worker. It would also increase access to social protection policies. The 8th Goal of sustainable development strives to ensure that there exist policies regarding employment benefits. It also provides collective bargaining minimum wages are risen and strengthened.
