The statement “I don’t agree with this. But orders are orders” appears to work in an environment where employees are not given a chance to air their views concerning decision making or any changes that supervisors might want to introduce. Workers and are forced to work under strict orders without the opportunity of excuse or modification.  It is also wrong because it creates a tense work environment. This is a dictatorial style of leadership introduced by the supervisor, and therefore, it may have a lot of negativities.

One of the reasons for it being wrong is that it tense work environment nature creates fear and inability for the workers to work adequately with freedom. In this case, they become less productive and work to satisfy the needs of the supervisors and the company without considering the welfare and the opinions of the workers in achieving a positive outcome. It is also linked with the inability to be creative in working work environment for the employees. The result is a less motivated worker with low self-esteem (Bowden, 85). This reflects on the productivity level of the person and limits his or her ability to reach a full potential mad achieve self-actualization.

This style of leadership also results in a shoddy work relationship between the workers and the supervisors.  This prevents workers from airing their views on the work environment and comfort.  The poor relationship makes the place appear like a prison and limit the level of productivity. This is in addition to the of workers developing expression due to working in a stressful environment with little freedom but to follow the orders given.
