The New Ford Mustang Mach-E
The 2021 Mustang Mach-E is the first fully electric SUV to be produced by Ford Motors Company, giving a whole new definition to the Mustang. Battery range, power, and charging
The New Ford Mustang Mach-E has twobattery packs options. The base-level Mach- E has a 75.7kw/h li-on battery that produces a horsepower of 332 and 417 lb-ft of torque power. This power can run the battery for 230 miles on a single charge. The premium class has an upgrade of the battery to 98.8kw/h producing a 459 horsepower and a torque power of 612lb-ft resulting in a new range of 300miles on a single charge.
A 240 volt-outlet is the most efficient way to fast charge the Mach-E with an electric supply of 80% being achieved in 38 minutes. Ford Connected charging stations with a 240volt-outlet can increase the battery range to 32 miles in one hour. In collaboration with Electrify America, Ford plans on establishing more than 12,0000 public fast-charging stations that can add a supply to cover up to 61 miles in one hour.
Interior Features
The interior of the New electric Mustang has been designed to include unique technology features.

Storage space/sitting capacity
The new Ford Mustang Mach-E can carry up to five people. It has two storage trunks; one in the front and the other in the back. The front trunk has a storage capacity of 4.8 cubic feet and the back trunk 29 cubic feet. Once the rear seats are folded down, the capacity of the back trunk increases to 59.6 cubic feet.
Safety features
The safety features in the Mach-E include;
- Forward collision warning system coupled with automatic emergency braking.
- A blind-spot monitoring system
- Lanedeparture warning system
In addition to these standard features, the Mach E comes with some advanced features including;
- An Active Drive Assist System- it is a driving assistance system that allows drivers to drive without having their hands on the steering wheel. The system defines a map zone of up to 100,000 miles where it can be used. Once it senses entry into a mapped zone, it alerts the driver who can then switch to handsfree driving. It is a huge relief, especiallyfor motorists who make long drives.
- The Road Edge Detection System- it makes it possible for the Mach E to travel easily on rural roads without steering off. The system detects when the car gets to the edge of the road either due to poor conditions of the road, lack of lighting at night among other challenges in rural areas and it steers it back to the centre of the road.
- Intersection assist- road intersection points are areas that see a lot of car accidents mainly by a miscalculation by the driver that could be caused by various factors, including poor visibility. The Intersection Assist System helps the driver negotiate intersections safely by detecting cross traffic.
