Response on law enforcement
Hey Jared,
You did good work in participating in this week’s discussion on law enforcement. I agree with you that, in Massachusetts, law enforcement comprises of various organizations such as local, state, environmental, and federal agencies such as FBI and DEA, and each organization has its function in responding to crimes. However, I think law enforcement in the united states follows a common structure, and thus it divided; therefore, law enforcement in America is divided into three categories, that is, local, state, and sheriff’s departments (Doherty,2016). I also agree that many federal agencies such as the FBI and CHIP have more tasks when responding to cybercrimes. For instance, the CHIP agency helps in the prosecution of federal cases to minimize jurisdiction pertain to cybercrimes. However, I think the CHIP agency backs up the prosecutor in federal jurisdiction during cybercrime cases. I also agree that INTERPOL helps fight crimes conducted in various countries through collecting from various databases.
