Food Security and Meat Consumption
Happier, C., 0. Wellesley, L (2019). Meat consumption, behaviour and the media environment: A focus group analysis across four countries. Food Security, 11 (1) , 123-139.
The authors illustrate how the meat industry is the primary factor in climate change. The growth in population was expected to escalate meat consumption globally in the rate of social behaviour and the environmental cost. The study was conducted in four nations and from the data collected, it shows that consumption of meat, human behaviour and the environment are affecting the climate significantly. Besides, the role the media is playing in driving the change in society. This source is an essential piece in my research, where it will help me illustrate how the cultural consumption of meat is the Nation economies economically.

Salter, A. M (2018). The effects of meat consumption on global health. Revue Scientific et Technique (international office of Epizootics),37 ( ,), 47-55.
The author claims that the effect of meat consumption affects the health of the Nation and globally. A significant population identifies meat as the highest source of adequate protein. Access to the heart protects against malnutrition and improves a child’s cognitive development. The research shows that meat consumption affects the health of people in a lot of angles; weight gain, obesity and chronic diseases. This source will assist my research in proving that the reduction of meat consumption will help prevent chronic diseases and also help in avoiding malnutrition. Also, the author argues that a low intake of meat has a significant beneficial effect on global food security.

Schmidt, U. J. (2017). Reducing meat countries to counter climate change and biodiversity loss: a review of influence factors. Regional Environmental Change, 17 (5), 1261-1277.
The article focuses on the feasibility of reducing the consumption of meat in countries which leads to a global loss of biodiversity, insubstantial agricultural growth and the gas emission produced from the meat industry. The authors also discuss the mechanisms that need to be taken to practice lower intake of meat-based disc multifactor approaches. The source will help support my argument that less intake of meat will solve food security. From the systematic meta-analysis of factors, the research will show how the factors influence the meat-eating behaviour. The book provides practical approaches used to argue the reduction of meat consumption.

Sanchez-Sabate, R., & Sabaté, J. (2019). Consumer attitudes towards environmental concerns of meat consumption: A systematic review. International journal of environmental research and publ16 (7ealth, 16(7), 1220.
The book illustrates that consumer’s attitude towards the environment affects meat consumption by a significant margin. Meat consumption is one of the factors of global warming, which is one of the factors influencing food security. The book shows how the changing behaviour of the consumer is a challenge in food security and public health. The authors show how the consumer attitude and behaviour of eating meat is associated with the environmental aspect. The source will help in responding to the research question showing how the participation of the consumer and their attitude is essential in helping the food system of the Nation.

The authors conquer the concept of attaining food security, which is the major challenge in a growing population while minimizing the damage to the environment. The article illustrates how the increasing number of the food consumption pattern leading to many people eating a lot, especially meat, With the increase in meat consumption results in the damaging of the land through deforestation. The cattle-keeping requires looking for the grass and altering the environment for the animal to feed. The source will come in handy for arguing about the environmental aspect of food security.

Marinova, D., & Bogueva, D. (2019). Planetary health and reduction in meat consumption. Sustainable Earth, 2 (1), 3.
The article explains how social marketing influences people’s behaviour of eating. The report shows the negative consequences of consuming high amounts of animal feed. The author describes the planetary health that is associated with the intake of meat. Besides, the article emphasizes that the information about less meat will help in boosting the health of the consumer significantly. The authors state that meals are a meat-rich diet. The article will help my research proving that reduction in the meat consumption will contribute to better nutrition, advances food security and the achievement of development goals of the Nation.

The authors’ study identifies factors involved in reducing meat consumption. Meat consumption is a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emission and thus to climate change. Meat consumption is a behavioural form, and the study explains an integrated and dynamic model-based approach to identifying the factors involved in encouraging behavioural change and the implication of methods policies it has. The source will help the project in understanding the effectiveness of reducing meat consumption. It will also assist research in proving the mechanism to promote meat-reduced diet by selecting the appropriate factor for behavioural change.
