Introduction
Transnational threats pose a substantive and growing threat to international, regional, and national security. These threats accrue with dire repercussions for public safety, economic growth and stability, and health and social justice all over the world. Convergence is a good idea; however, integrating all cultures across the globe is hard. Secondly, every boarder is governed by its legal jurisdiction laws. These threats when they are not controlled, they accumulate and eventually overpower transnational convergence.
Transnational Threats and how to Combat them
Transnational threats have been an existing global problem for the recent past decade. However, such warnings have been rampant currently. Such risks include conflict of interest incorporates because of corruption and governance threats (Ludvigsen, 2020). This problem is widespread amongst the developing countries where government parastatals are run by politically-oriented individuals who defy regulations and end up in fraudulent activities to gain cash for the next election. To combat this problem, intelligence personnel need to carry out proper audits in all departs, including the human resource department.
Intellectual property theft and weapon trafficking because of unauthorized handling of illicit weapons while intellectual property majorly is stolen from computer devices. These threats can only be responded by forbidding tyrants and strict enforcement of the law. Strong cybersecurity to keep an eye on military activities by upgrading surveillance and intelligence measures (Hara, 2020). Market strategies, competitive and economic threats are very high because of human trafficking and smuggling drug. Convergence has created a forum where global firms only focus on the interests of influential personalities. Such an environment breeds terrorism where cartels run even charitable firms for their gain—integration and harmonization of regulating powers in all borders.
Conclusion
Thinking forward to formulate responses against international threats is an excellent idea since the world charter and especially the attainment of sustainable development goals will be made accessible. Additionally, dismantling cartels is very basic in responding to such threats.
