Then answer the following
question
3 A: What it’s Like to be Intersex?
According to the video and the journal faq, an intersex is a person who doesn’t fit the typical class of being male or female due to being born with both sexual anatomies and, at times, mosaic genetics. The video also states what it is like to be Intersex is to accept oneself on the face of stigma and be identified to the characteristic of the physical feature they encompass. Also, it feels lonely to be Intersex as they rarely find a person like them to share thoughts, making them live in shame. Also, the journal states of being Intersex is to be encompassing genitals that seem to be in between the two genders or to have genitalia that forms like the opposite of the same sex.
4 How has the current two-sex system justified the doctrine of separate spheres that tracks women into the home and men into public roles with financial and political decision making power?
The two sex system’s current sphere has made the females be custodians of domestic work and rearing children while men get to public works and financial accountability. The contemporary globe on gender makes the males solely responsible for maintaining the family financial wise. Women, on the other hand are made to fit to domestic roles due to their peaceful nature and ability to understand the children more and also because the society seems to create the balance in roles.
4:C Do you think it would be possible to “degender” society? What would this look like? Would there be any drawbacks? What would be gained?
I think it would be impossible to degender the society as their minds have been fixated on the gender roles. Additionally, both genders seem to have accepted their position in the society and so degendering the society would look like ungodly or insane notion to go about. Also, degendering would have drawbacks and still there would be some few things to gain. For instance, a degendered society would create animosity among some culture who are fixated to the idea of gender roles. Besides, the notion could bring gain as equality of both gender could be achieved and the roles could be share between the genders.
