Luckily, none of that happened today. For now, this coronavirus has come, and we have to find ways how we can get rid of this! This Covid-19 has become like that uninvited guest..refusing to leave our home! -_-

Roti, kapda, makaan has become difficult for every individual. And to top it all, the NRIs who were abroad are all rushing back to India. And not in hundreds or thousands, but millions! 🤷‍♂️

Kyun bhai? Why would you do that? Lots of tu tu main main happening daily, and everyone has gotten into the survival mode. If you get so many people back to India, where will the residential public go?

Where is the problem?

So, you must be thinking, what’s going on? What’s my problem? Well, let me first make it clear. It is not just my problem. It is a problem for all the Indians living here in our country.

With all the people returning to India from their job countries, there is no place left to occupy.

Imagine this; our country is a cup of water. We all are the molecules of water filling the cup. Now, if more and more people come in to fill the cup, the cup will either overflow or break out.

Will everyone have a place to fit into the cup? Likewise, if people are returning to the country, where will we go? Already the living space, food, money, and other facilities in our country are limited. If we have to share this limited amount with so many others coming in, what will remain for us?

Most of my school and college mates had shifted abroad for further studies. They have all finished their studies and are waiting to get placed. Now, with no jobs there, all are returning to India with all their fancy-schmancy degrees. 🧑‍🎓

Tell me one thing, if you have two applicants for a job offer. Applicant A has basic degrees, and applicant B has degrees from all over the world. Like, they both have the same degree, but the only difference is one has a foreign diploma, the other doesn’t. 🙍

Who, according to you, will get a preference for the job?

Applicant B, obviously!!!

These foreign-degree wales are snatching away from our jobs! If you had to choose between two ice creams where one had all exotic toppings and the other with only the basic? You will blindly go for the exotic one! Duh! 😕

Similarly, rushing back to India with their significant kick-ass degrees will be given an upper hand. They will get special treatments, and we will be left with nothing.

You know that feeling when your elder sister gets treated while you get beaten for something which you didn’t do? Well, my friend, be prepared for all of that and much more. Now that migrants are back to India.

Where is the JOB?

COVID has made it crazy to get placements as well as keep up with current jobs. Temporary salary cuts are on since the pandemic started. Now people who were with proper jobs have been laid off as well. While Swiggy has laid off 350 people, CureFit is on to its second wave of layoffs.

The hospitality, fitness, and aviation industries have seen the maximum pay cuts and layoffs. With the ratio of jobs to workers being significantly less, and now the influx of NRIs back to India, our residents’ future looks bleak.

If you don’t have a job to fend for yourself, what will your friend who returns to India get out of it? You have chocolate which you need to share with five people already. With more people entering India, you are forced to divide that same tiny piece between 10 people. How is that possible?

Outcome = miniature pieces of your favorite chocolate.

Yeh H1, H1B, H4, and God knows what all visa types exist abroad! With all these visas going invalid due to the pandemic, people have nowhere to go. Hence, all these people are rushing back to India like a cackle of hyenas. They will feast on the remaining jobs, and we will not even have any leftovers.

What’s our future?

With nowhere to go and not much to do, all we are left with are two options. Either work with lesser pays or make do with whatever we have at the moment. Although the mantra for 2020 is survival of the fittest, we sure will not survive just by remaining fit.

We all need to do hard work, but along with that smart work too. You cannot just sit there thinking that your job is safe. If you still have a job after the four months of lockdown, good for you. But mate, that is not going to last forever.

No loss = profit this year. But that doesn’t mean you let go of your earnings, which you can cash upon. It is high time you get thinking – What happens to our job now that migrants from abroad have returned to India?

I know the time is tough. First Covid19, and then this situation of migrants. There is already panic and unnecessary anxiety among us, but guys, listen up – It’s time to fight for your rights and not just give up. Do not sit quietly with your hands folded. Earn your job and fight for what’s rightfully yours!!!
