The US Constitution
The US constitution was established and signed in 1787, and it is the supreme law of the united states. It has been mandated with authority, and it is a source of all the government’s power. It also provides certain limitations on the government that protect the citizens of the united states’ vital rights. There are various rights which are guaranteed by the constitution
bill of rights
the bill of rights is the first ten amendments to the constitution. They represent and base the American ideals of individual liberty and the rule of law. There are various rights included in the bill of rights, which are considered vital to America. (head, 2019) They include freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, the government’s prohibition from accommodating troops in private homes. citizens are also protected from any unreasonable search and without warrant or subjection to criminal prosecution and punishment without the due process. This also includes making sure that a person’s private property is not seized for public use without compensation. Another bill of rights is that all the civil cases should b tried by the judge, and the rei also prohibits excessive fines and cruel punishments. The rights included in the bill of rights are important because they included what the citizens are entitled to, and no government can refuse or fail to recognize them. Arguably, the bill of rights is crucial assertions of a person’s natural and civil rights. These rights ensure that the state does not control the citizen, and they have a right to protest any government policies they disagree with.
Why teachers need to understand the constitution
One of the significant reasons teachers need to understand the constitution is for them to have the knowledge they need to impart to students as the constitution entails the laws that govern their daily lives. Further, the knowledge of the constitution will enable the student to comprehend how they fit into the world around them and comprehend the government’s role in American society. The students need to understand this important document, which makes their success possible through liberation and enlightenment. For the student to comprehend this concept of how constitutional rights are to them, the teachers will need to understand the constitution itself. (sambit_dash, 2016).therfore, for the students to analyze the texts of the constitution in different ways and debate the constitutional principles as they relate to the political issues today, the teachers need to have the basics of the document and its significance.
