What integral role did black women play in the Mississippi freedom democratic party? Be sure to foreground important individuals as well as black female contributors to the (MFDP) collectively.

Mississippi freedom party was mainly formed in 1964, as aa major branch of the populist freedom democratic organization within Mississippi state. The core objective of the party was to act as an instrument for the black Americans to enforce and encourage black political participation in the Civil rights movement at the same time challenging the validity of the Mississippi lily-white democratic party. Most renowned women took a more significant role in the part of the Civil rights activist. Black women played after role in this party. Firstly, the black women acted as the African American Civil rights activist.

Fannie Lou Hamer, who was one of the cofounders of the party, played an important role in acting as a women rights activist, voting rights activist, and also a community organizer (Logan, 2020). In this line of service, she actively promoted the rights of African Americans to vote. She encouraged the participation of the blacks in the fight for their rights through the ballot box. Furthermore, she acted as a community organizer and facilitated important community activities geared towards the attainment of democracy and the common goal. Finally, as a women rights activist, Fannie radically challenged the segregation which highly existed ion the black women and played an important role in streamlining the same.

Annie Devine, on the other side, actively facilitated the registering of the black Americans to the ballot box. As black Americans, her role highly induced the voting of the African Americans in their quest for freedom from the continued brutality, which emanated from their white counterparts (Robert, 2017).

Additionally, black women, including Annie Devine, collectively advocated for the formation of the integral party, which promoted open participation regardless of race. Specifically, Annie Devine continued further to develop the children development group of Mississippi, which highly was an instrumental branch of the Mississippi development party.

Devine further quit her job and focused on the liberation of the black American; she depicted the high amount of sacrifice that was unexplainable within the society. She participated in several workshops with other women rights activists and ensured that the welfare of the black Americans was reinstated and freed from the further continued discriminatory practices of the society. Finally, she stood as African Americans and demanded equal voting rights to African Americans just as the whites were enjoying.

Finally, Victoria gray is seen as one of the most vocal secretaries who also led a boycott against Hattiesburg businesses. Alongside other women, she advocated for the justice and voting rights of African Americans (Draper, 2016). She highly advocated for the recognition of their delegation in the place that whites had been previously accorded. Such actions signified equality in voting rights. Generally, these women highly contributed differentially but collectively towards the reinstating of the blacks voting rights.
