Subject: bullying of a team member in the marketing department
Dear Hussain,
I am writing this email to inform you that recently, there has been bullying in my department. The problem started after a new member was added to the team. Three of the old member started to harass the new member by being rude and criticizing the new member. The issue has affected the whole team, and the department is suffering due to this issue.
Due to this, I have decided to handle the matter by issuing a warning letter to the bullies. In the letter, I have indicated that their behavior is uncalled for, and it is affecting the whole team. On meeting them, I intend to narrow down to them the effects of their behavior on the department and the team. I will also scrutinize the situation and try to find out why the presence of the new member bothers them and how we can work together to solve the problem for everyone.
In the meeting, I intend to make sure that they understand the consequences that they might face in the near future if they do not stop the bullying effectively. I will also show them the effects that they have caused the new member on a personal and professional level. Through this, they will understand the effects of bullying, and this might help them stop the act.
I am also going to arrange for the victim to attend a self-help course that will help her deal with bullying. I will ensure that she receives that guidance that will help her understand that the actions of other people are not her fault. Through the course, she will also be able on how to stand for herself and any other employee who might face bullying in the future. I will also encourage the program to be scheduled for the other employees so that we can make our company bullying free.
In conclusion, I would encourage that as a company, we do not overlook some of these problems as they cause strain in our day to work. Bullying in the past few months has caused my department to suffer as people are not reproductive. Bullying has also caused tension between members, and this shows that the problem cannot be ignored. Through your office, I believe that you will support my claim in trying to end this problem.
