In my opinion, better and safer strategies such as nicotine patches are preferred to prevent disease that arises from smoking and injection. Smoking nicotine in cigarettes causes addiction and harm to the body. The Nicotine patch approach to tobacco is essential to protect the smokers and drug users who are unable or unwilling to stop the habits. Using the nicotine patch is a harmless product that is safer to reduce harm and enable smokers to switch to less harmful ways to smokers and drug injectors. The nicotine patch product is efficiently and expertly scrutinized to make sure they reduce harm and risks from tobacco consumption.
Stigma and discrimination
Stigma in mental health arises when other people view a person negatively, while discrimination is when a person is treated differently and negatively. Every person in society has a vital role in establishing and maintaining an inclusive, fair, and supportive environment for mentally ill people. Therefore stigma and discrimination against people with mental illness should be dealt with and stopped by not labeling the mentally ill people but getting to understand their condition. Also, speaking up when the person who has a mental illness is stigmatized and discriminated against is essential to create awareness about the issues. Additionally, to stop stigma and discrimination, people should not labels mentally ill persons and understand their psychosis health experiences. The human right should protect the people with mental illness to avoid their situation getting worse or delaying their recovery. Lastly, healthcare providers stop stigmatization and discrimination by providing quality, safe, and appropriate healthcare services to patients who have a mental illness.
Not in my Backyard (NIMBY)
Not in my Backyard (NIMBY) is a quote that signifying that it is not appropriate for a person to put undesirable things into the neighbor’s place. NIMBY enhances the creation of supportive and affordable housing, which means that people live close together and should adopt characters that respect the neighborhood. People from the same neighbor should create new housing projects and developments to provide affordable and adequate housing to every person occupying the local areas. NIMBY is essential to avoid arguments and behaviors in neighborhoods to prevent violence, theft, crimes.The development gives a large number of people without adequate homes and homeless people an opportunity to get their own and affordable houses by spreading the concept of housing and growth among all people in the society. To achieve this, the projects should not be concentrated on specific and isolated areas but spread throughout the community.
