HBB Recreational Sports Center
HBB Recreation Center is a private organization founded by retired sports coordinators who worked in New Zealand’s ministry of sports and creation. The organization will be located in Christchurch, a city in New Zealand that has a population of roughly 385500 (Christchurch City Council, 2019). According to the Canterbury District Health Board (2010), the youth age group is 14% of the total population of the city, and they are more ethnically diverse. This age group is looked upon as problems waiting to be solved. During this period, the youth experiences a range of psychological, emotional, social, and biological transitions that can be stressful. Organized recreational activities can offer the youth with opportunities to experience positive youth development and minimize storms associated with the adolescent stage.
Program Guide to Participation
Registration
Registration for the program will be communicated through fliers, mass media, the website, and social media. The registration process will be through walk-in, phone-in, or online registration.
Methods of Payment
The payment methods will be via money order or personalized cheque, visa or master card, and gift card, cash, or debit card. Payment for the services will be collectible during registration time (Calgary, 2020).
Inclusion Commitment
The less privileged and the disabled youths will be allowed to register and participate in the recreational activities offered. However, the participant will have to disclose his/her condition at the time of registration, enabling the smooth facilitation of services.

Any concerns, updates, or program waivers will be communicated through the company’s official website.
Facility and equipment needs
Technical and constructional requirements linked to planning criteria of recreational facilities will be taken into account. The following principles will be strictly respected: personal safety, structural safety, environment, and technological innovation. A hockey pitch requires a spacious and flat surface. In meeting the current goals, an existing open space with grass will be identified, managed, and redeveloped. Later, an artificial hockey pitch shall be laid to enhance the youths’ experience (Cardinal Field Hockey Clinic / Camp, n.d.). Also, a game of hockey requires various equipment such as hockey sticks, hockey balls, shin guards, mouth guards, helmets, shoes, facemasks, and goalkeeper’s protective gear. Fortunately, HBB Recreational Center has plenty of donated by various individuals and institutions.
The organization has no choice but to construct two new basketball courts. The available courts are unsafe and in a bad state. The construction will be through a transparent process and with realistic financial constraints. Additionally, to determine the exact area a basketball facility will be constructed, the annual growth rate of youths in that particular area will be approximated. Apart from the court, the players will only need a basketball ball and protective gear to participate in the game. As the game becomes competitive with time, the organizers will need to purchase a whistle, uniforms, game clock, backboard, and a scoreboard (FIBA Central Board, 2018).
Program Schedule
A business plan with in-depth information about the HBB Sports Club that will entail organization goals, structure, cost, and investment analysis will be drafted for approximately 2 months. Thanks to their defining characteristics and growing interest among teenagers, filed hockey and basketball, in particular, has seen a significant increase in popularity. Therefore, choosing a suitable location where the youths will easily access those facilities are required. The process will take roughly 1 month. It will then take about a month to come up with a transparent project model that will be customized to suit the company’s goals. The following 2 months will be for registration and carrying out any legal work before the commencement of the project. A recreational sports program requires massive funding; hence a lot of time and strategy is necessary to get enough funds. Sources of funds and collection are approximated to take 3 months. After getting enough startup funds, the construction and equipping of the recreation center take about 4 months. The next 2 months will be reserved for the recruitment of top managers, coaches, and other staff members. The center will then spent roughly 2 months advertising and offering free services to the community before getting down to business.

Marketing Plan
The product strategy for HBB will entail training basketball and field hockey to the youth. The company will also offer educational and guiding sessions to the parents. Moreover, less privileged youths will be provided with free training kits and food. The company will utilize the best cost provider pricing strategy that allows both middle-class and high class to afford their services. Free services will be offered to some needy youths in the area (McNamara, n.d.).
Promotion Plan
HBB will use a variety of promotional activities to advertise its services and create an outstanding brand name. First, the organization will carry out volunteer services in middle schools and high school. The free services will not only create awareness and interest among the youth but also stimulate exposure to the events. Moreover, the organization’s officials will attend most community-based meetings and communicate our goals. The organization will also make use of fliers, newspapers, and newsletters to market their services (McNamara, n.d.). Lastly, social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and website will be utilized to promote the offered services and offer any updates on the competition and other events.
Staffing Plan
First, HBB will incorporate the services of volunteers, especially parents who are always ready to give back to their community. They will aid in team activities like guiding and counseling, motivating the youths, and other team formalities. As a result, the cost of expenses will be cut while at the same time providing high-quality services. Likewise, a sense of community involvement is enhanced. The company will also seek the coaching services of competent graduates and college students. During holidays and weekends, high school students can aid in handling simple activities in the organization like the information desk. Older and experienced coaches and can be sourced from various colleges and high schools in multiple counties. Apart from coaches and other subordinate staff, HBB will need a highly professional management team in coaching and training. The pool of qualified management will come from the company’s founders, who have served in a highly profiled sports position and have an extensive network of sports professionals.
