Locating credible databases and research
The new nurse would need to know the first items the policies governing the utmost care given to patients; this is the prioritized work they are assigned to. The second thing I will show them is the location of the nurses’ computer, the password, and password policy rules. Using the computer to find evidence of new diagnosis will enable them to solve any unfamiliar condition they encounter within the service industry. The eHealth evidence base is a growing and increasing in demand, providing sound guidance to plan and conduct, reporting, and appraisal in nursing activities (Lau, F., 2017). Therefore, it is crucial to show them the primary databases contained the diagnostic evidence; these databases include CINAHL, PubMed, Medline, Cochrane, and Embase. These databases contain information collected from experimental research studies conducted in different parts of the world. They also include specialized care and attention to be accorded to the patients and the description of various diagnoses. However, with the presence of these online facilities, the new nurses are encouraged to collaborate with other nurses in service delivery and not depend entirely on the resource available from the net. They are supposed to inquire from colleagues as the priority before consulting the computer for online databases.
When researching, I advise the nurses and the new nurse to complete their research using online databases and websites. For gestational diabetes, the MedlinePlus database presents essential information necessary for the patient’s diagnosis and care. This website provides pdf material that summarizes information needed. Secondly, the useful nurse site is the PubMed databases, which is an open journal database that stores a collection of peer-reviewed scholarly articles collected worldwide for medical purposes and related researches provided with the link https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/. The. Cochrane database library, which is found on the website cochranelibrary.com. This website offers medical journals, books, and articles; it also provides searches from other related websites, thus providing the required information. This database provides trusted evidence, leading to informed decisions for quality health caregivers. ASU libraries Nursing LibGuide is a website giving evidence-based nursing practice documentation; it qualifies for research completion and practice. Nurses should research these websites to complete their research findings.
Evidence in enables the health caregiver to make an informed decision when facing a dilemma; caregivers can find an informational guide in websites and databases to treatments indicated as evidence-based (Becker, S. J., et al., 2018). Formal research on the issue at hand for instant gestation diabetes leads the newly hire nurse into research to find evidence for the patient handling procedures. The study provides the nurse with localized data and professional opinion on the issue. The new nurse needs to collaborate with other nurses to find the best practices combining the information obtained and their skills to develop the best-blended practices, which are patient-centered. However, the new nurse needs to seek consultation with experienced nurses before making a significant decision even after finding enough evidence on the subject at hand.
When handling a research question, the best practices are to analyze the information obtained from databases and understand the procedures and processes outlined. This ensures the patient will benefit from the resource obtained and not suffer the consequences of a rush during any procedures. The best practices to be placed into use are clearly outlined in the information obtained on the websites they need careful reading. Plan care-based provides nurses with the opportunity to attend to patients’ overall health and handling; this means they no longer rely on the physicians’ directions for procedures (Boydston, J., 2018). The nurses can handle the patient to develop interventions and guiding themselves in the process. Therefore, the nurse needs to document the care provided since the family members might require the documentation as evidence that the care was indeed provided. The documentation provides the guide and assigns staff to a client to handle the patient correctly; this documentation is also used for reimbursement when a nurse incurs a cost.
Websites developed by the union and individual professionals in nursing do qualify for reference when developed to meet the required threshold and minimum requirements. https://nurseslabs.com/ provides useful information on care plans on how to perform various diagnoses. Mastering the practices through this website ensures the best practices for the client and the nurse, including the nursing industry. Other sources of online materials and evidence are enumerated above; they include the Cochrane Library, PubMed, and the national center for biotechnology information databases and websites. These are extensive databases containing enormous information that can confuse newbies, and therefore they need to be taken care of during the initial stages of practice.
The communication strategies encouraging nurses to research the diagnosis include motivating the nurses to embrace the new technological approaches to healthcare and attending to patients. The latest information and discoveries need to be handled with care, invoking experienced nurses’ response before taking any step in implementing what is found on the databases, internet sources, journals, and articles. Nurses are further motivated to learn through reading widely across medical journals and articles, books, and papers. They are supposed to interact with experienced nurses to gain confidence in their abilities and develop the necessary skills in addressing patient’s requirements.
