The majority of speakers utter the words as they deliver their speech. However, vocalized pauses remain an unacceptable element during public speaking. Vocalized pauses distract the audience and remain annoying, depending on their frequency. Oral speakers, especially public speakers, must practice reducing vocalized pauses.

Vocalized pauses distract the target audience and remain annoying, depending on their frequency of occurrence. Vocalized pauses affect how the audience interprets the speaker’s intentions, which may exist as quite the opposite of what the speaker-targeted to achieve. Speakers must also not eradicate breaks between as they deliver a speech. Vocalized pauses may help to attract the attention of the audience when used sparingly. In addition, short vocalized pauses allow the speaker to get their thoughts together.

In conclusion, vocalized pauses distract the audience. The speaker must resolve to use other forms of pauses, such as the silent pause. Speakers must practice reducing vocalized pauses’ frequency. Speakers should consider silent pauses. Pauses allow a speaker to arrange thoughts.
