Characteristics of homeless people who use social media

Nobody is categorically safe from undergoing homelessness

within society. A small percentage of people always decide to be homeless; it

can happen to anyone of us depending on the status in which we are. The

homeless people who use social media share some characteristics in common. To

understand this better, two theories have been used, that is grounded theory

and ethnography.

Grounded theory is used in this case to compare the lifestyle of the homeless and those with homes; we review the characteristics of the homeless, specifically to the once in access to the social media platform. These people tend to possess different characters compared to the other part of society. We have homeless people all over; they found themselves being in such kind of situation Homeless people always choose to interact with a specific form of links using a completely different type of media which is used by people with a home. As interactions which take place online always become even more important, these individuals tend to prefer to channel their communication through channels such as electronic mail instead of using social media platform (Burak, Cierzniakowska & Popow, 2020). They tend to do this to try maintaining their privacy as they want to avoid the public.

The grounded theory deals majorly with collecting and analyzing information at the same time as the research. In this data information, a lot of information is gathered

In open coding data is

likely in every way in producing as more groups that may fit it, open coding is crucial, and the selective coding might be in the open coding is the primary, or initial coding. In contrast, selective coding might be another different higher level. Only once data collectors believe that they have collected sufficient evidence will they move onto the next stage: building a report, or, in your case, a dashboard. If enough information has been collected the other half of this theory approach begins to take its course. Once a satisfying amount of data has been collected, the second half of the Grounded Theory approach begins. In this theory, the procedure includes analysis of the text followed by exploring the relevancy and the book also indexed, we then label the topic and then finally, the concepts are revealed.

Most of the homeless people who get access to various social platforms may come across different information which may turn them off (Bhatia-Lin et al. 2019).

This might be based on stigmatization on them by the other people with places

of residences which may trigger them to start thinking about the suicidal

thoughts.

Harmful responses to stressful mental occurrences can all be avoided and alleviated by some encouraging endowing environmental painful event (Nóżka, 2020). When these people get involved in social media platform, they get to see the history of the past people who had undergone through the situation in which they are in; they can be affected more negatively or positively on this

In ethnography, researchers interact directly with the environment and all that they do study, and they also are part of them. In this case, the homeless people are categorically looked upon. Different opinions are collected in respect to this without exemption of anybody. This is done through online social media platform or other instruments of collecting data. Homeless people using the social media platform are at high risk of getting in drug and substance abuse (Smartt et al., 2019). About Stenius et al., (2017), homeless people have been seen to have poor health – often coexisting with alcoholism and its consequences – researchers have similarly demonstrated that the lost face numerous barriers in terms of access to regular medical care.

This research is based on the experiences that the homeless people whose lifestyle choices discover and convey their individuality on the social media platforms with the other people who understand them better. Homeless people using the social media platform are at high risk of getting in drug and substance abuse. The health of these people is positively linked to the kind of their life, which mostly full of use of alcohol and also low diet and lack of proper body cleanliness. Most of these people tend to be more careless and does not value much about their health due to the kind of life which they do live. Most of the studies which have been carried out shows that homeless people do have worse health in comparison to the general society as a whole.
