Language Use
Language is a crucial aspect of human life as it determines how people communicate. Language proficiency ensures that one can use and understand a language with little or no difficulty. The English words I chose are Chatty and Circuitous, as they explain my character and what I expect from other people.
Chatty is an adjective that explains the friendly and informal way of talking. I chose chatty, as it represents my character when using English. I interact with most of my friends and family in informal settings, and the language is informal. I am also a welcoming person, and I like getting along with everyone. I am chatty and do not like a boring environment. The other word I chose is Circuitous.
Circuitous has more than one meaning as it can mean either moving in a circular way or being not forthright in language use or explanation. I chose Circuitous because of its second meaning. I am a forthright person, and I like being around forthright people. I always give straightforward and detailed explanations when using language and I expect people to treat me similarly. People offering Circuitous explanations easily piss me off. Besides, I always prefer someone who respects me to the extent of being forthright with me instead of taking me in cycles.
In sum, I chose Circuitous and Chatty to explain the character I dislike and my character, respectively. Since I am a chatty person, circuitous people easily piss me off since they are mean with details. I am generally proficient in English. Generally, I am a chatty person and I do not like being circuitous when giving details, neither do I like people who are mean with details.
