A kid born with one leg jumps in joy after trying on prosthetics
It was a beautiful day, as parents watched their child, who was born with a single leg, dance delightfully as he was able to stand on his feet for the first time. The prosthetic was brought for the child to help him feel the fun in jumping and dancing like the other kids. He was made to put it on as they looked on.
Children are always full of joy when they start making baby steps in walking, and the young child must have led a sad life. The artificial leg brought with it an excitement once the child realized all was not lost, that he was still able to walk around like the other children of his age.
The child, whose name is Brooks, was so full of excitement. On realizing that he was finally able to stand on his feet and break into a dance, he was unable to hide his delight.
His father held to him in a strong grip, maybe to prevent the excited child from falling over. This did not stop Brooks from breaking into dance, and he ensured to make any dancing moves that his body would, despite the grip.
In addition to the dancing, the excitement made Brooks jump up and down in excitement. This was another expression of the beaming happiness in the young soul.
Brook’s mother, who hails from Minnesota, was also present to witness her son’s milestone. She was so excited, and would not hide her happiness as she watched her child have the time of his life laughing out loud and bouncing.
Her excitement made her film every step, as documentation. She recorded the initial part, as the innocent baby tried to put on the artificial leg on his own. She shared the video on YouTube, and it has been receiving a very good viewership. The video enjoyed thousands of views, with viewers leaving behind beautiful comments.
“Brooks just received his first ever prosthetic leg. His father is assisting him to stand up on two legs and two feet for the first time ever!” the excited mother wrote on the video’s caption text.
She went on to add, “Brooks is so excited that he does a little dance while he tests out his new body part!”
When he was born, Brooks had a medical condition, which left him with a single leg. Most initial baby steps, such as crawling were still possible as he grew. Walking, standing on his feet, and running was however limited due to his condition. The doctors made it known that it would be hard for the baby to walk, even in the future.
Innovation changed the little boy’s fate, as he received his first-ever prosthetic.
It is hoped that the bubbly boy will be able to do more with his artificial leg, such as running and walking. He might even make a good dancer as the years go on!
His mother commented on her son’s medical journey. She especially hailed his brave soul as he went through the stressing medical journey. “He’s a very active little boy and he’s been so strong and resilient through all the doctors appointment and his surgery to amputate the digit that was at the bottom of his stump.”
On her feeling about her little boy, the mother excitedly added, “He’s a very special, happy boy!”
This is a beautiful story that should give hope to people going through tough medical journeys, which may leave them unable to do most of the normal things. The video shows that anything can be achieved if we have hope.
