A Prayer to Invite Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is given freely to us, yet few choose to use it. He comes loaded with so many stunning gifts. The only thing expected from us is to open our souls and untie the ribbons.
Some Christians lack knowledge of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Others forget the importance of the Holy Ghost. Holy Spirit is not an ancient being that existed; He is eternal. When we open the curtain of our hearts and welcome Him, He comes in laden with gifts.
He is such a good-hearted visitor who has a unique gift for every host. 1 Corinthians 7-11 mentions,” But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is granted by the Spirit the Word of wisdom; to another the Word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another diverse kind of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worked that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.”
Our God is very fair. He knows the importance of giving diverse gifts. His Word tells us them to elevate one another through our gifts and not pull each other down.
To experience this Heavenly deed, we need to welcome Him. How do we go about it? By repenting, trusting in Christ, opening the doors of our soul, and baptizing in His name.
Let’s cleanse our souls with a word of prayer to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Abba Father,
I come to You and present my body as the temple of the Holy Spirit. I welcome Him to dwell in my heart and lead me to the truth. Take everything in my life and use it as You wish.
I praise and glorify Your name. Mostly because of sending Your only Son to die for me. I thank You for welcoming me in a warm embrace and trust Jesus as my Savior.
Lord, the Bible tells me that You have some unique gifts for me.
I understand that they are more potent than ordinary talents and attained abilities. Kindly open my understanding of the powerful gifts, so that I can instruct and encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ. By Your power help me discover where my interests and strengths lie.
Giver of Supernatural gifts, visit me with Your elegance, and grant me Your Word of Wisdom. Your Scriptures describe it as the extraordinary capability of judging things according to God’s ways. I pray for the divine will to solve difficult situations in my life.
Please help me to concentrate deeper within the truth that surrounds me. Empower me to ascertain things as they are and not on my assumptions but the will of God. Ephesians 5:15-17 says, See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is”.
Lord, as I search for knowledge, I hope to discover the heavenly treasure. Help me to sift through Your Word for the gems of the Kingdom. I long for the wisdom that leads to love and faith. Guide my paths as I pursue it. Help me to drink from Your Word and pour out on others. You are the voice that guides my way, a great help in this journey. You lead me like a compass, to wherever I go. In the storms and high seas, You never forsake.

Almighty Father, I long for You to empower me with all the goodness that comes from above. Your teachings mention Prophesy as a great teacher who will help me to the truth. If You find it right to bestow this gift into me. I want to use it to elevate others.
Your Word says that if I ask, I will receive the power of the Holy Spirit. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, I ask You to overfill me the burning fire of life. I welcome the same light that came over the disciples, and they received the power of speaking in tongues.
By Your Word, I have faith that the Holy Spirit is already in me. Arise in me as I praise God; give me the utterance to glorify His Name. I do not want to use my own words, instead, empower me with the language of the Holy Spirit. Help me to speak out Your good deeds, especially to those who discard You.
I exalt You Name; I confess Your Mighty powers. Help me to interpret Your greatness through Your baptism of fire. 1 Corinthians 14:13 says, “Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret.” God, I long for this beautiful gift of interpretation. I cannot wait to be aware of the words I utter and also from others.
Holy Spirit, I welcome Your gift of faith in me, ignite it so that I can see through the uncertainties. I invite You to establish a deeper trust within me. I know that through prayer, my faith widens.
Shine Your conviction lights for me to see God. Please help me to believe what Jesus taught through the Gospel. I praise You for this beautiful gift; I unwrap it and place it at the center of my heart. The Gospel says that I am required to involve God actively to strengthen my faith.
Lord, my body is Your sanctuary, steer me out of my miseries. I worship and love You, empower me to love others with the same magnitude.
Holy Ghost, You are known to unleash Your superpower in times of sickness. By the beautiful gift of healing, I receive comfort. I can never thank You enough for the moments I have been ailing, and I got healed.
Sometimes it was not through human aid but by Your power. Heal the World Oh Holy Spirit; spread Your healing powers all over. I pray that You may abundantly share this gift with Your people to experience the comfort that comes from You only.
I praise Your Name for the gift of working miracles. They are small things that human beings overlook, yet they are miracles on their own. You are the Miraculous Father, so powerful, yet so tender.
Continue shining in my life so that I can realize Your miraculous deeds. Kindly share this gift with Your children. I want to witness the same miracles Jesus did. By Your Mighty Power, I wait for them.
