- My research topic is; A Study on the Advertising Communication Ways of Luxury Brands in China: A Case Study of Five Luxury Brands. The research questions that I used to formulate this topic are; ) What are the tendencies or characteristics of luxury brand communication content?
(2) What is the core value of luxury brand transmission?
(3) Can the brand communication of luxury goods deviate from the brand experience, and if it is allowed to depart, to what extent?
- I conducted an extensive literature review to come up with information that is pertinent to my research. Within the paper, I adopted qualitative and quantitative research methods of content analysis and questionnaire survey. Some of the articles that I used were from popular magazines that included Cosmopolitan, Elle world fashion garden, esquire, and bazaar men’s style. Five hundred respondents were selected to the part in the research. All the research questionnaires were sent to them via email as links to popular sites Survey Monkey. This format was chosen as it was straightforward, convenient, and flexible in its utilization. The consent of the participants was secured through signing their names against a consent form. It indicated how I was going to use the data that was provided, and thus, their response was the actual consent that was needed.
- A critical ethical issue was the fact that the respondents were furnishing me with private and sometimes confidential information. This was especially so with regards to their fashion preferences. Some of the ethical issues included informed consent, respect for privacy, and the need for confidentiality and anonymity. Most of the ethical issues I have covered by not disclosing the personal information of my respondents. Most importantly, I explicitly informed them of my intentions at the begging of the questionnaires. Lastly, all my respondents participated in the study voluntarily, and this research is the direct result of their contributions.
