Active Reading and Listening

The primary purpose of reading “Try Active Listening” is to identify and learn about the process of active listening. By reading the text, I also aim to identify some of the functions of active listening, which include: to get a deeper understanding of what speakers mean, to accept a speaker’s feelings, and to encourage the speaker to identify and explore their thoughts and feelings.

In my preview of the text, I have not found any problematic words or phrases in use. The article has been primarily simple, and the terms used therein are relatively easy to understand. Moreover, the structure of the entire text is flowing, and the arrangement of the key concepts into sub-topics has made it relatively simple to skim through.
