Addressing the government widely and provide freedom and liberty to everyone
Ideally, a lot of people in the United States underwent troubling times during the 1970s. This is because of the sequence of radical movements that occurred in the 1960s and 1970s; these were the Vietnam War, the Watergate scandal and the economic middle east crisis. This had made the citizens of the United States loss interest on their government. In furtherance to this, crime was Nin its highest levels. At the same time, the idealistic dreams of the 1960s were torn down by inflation during Jimmy Carter’s presidency. All of these political systems and political ideologies transpired in the United States during the era of 1960s to 1980s can also be reflected in the bible, especially in the new testament. This is in terms of political rebukes by political leaders, the greedy, rich and materialistic politicians. Americans responded to the era of the 1960s and 1970s by upholding and embracing the ideologies of conservatism which was characterized through the policies of Ronald Reagan in 1980s. Furthering to this, the era is remembered for its materialism and consumerism. Typically, this is to mean that the current political that happen all over the world are things that began a long time ago in the bible. Consequently, this made Jesus bring the new kingdom that was not politically oriented, neither militarily.
Now the popular movement, that is, the conservative movement also referred to, as the New Right enjoyed remarkable growth during the early 1980s and the late 1970s. I was diverse such that Americans, including evangelical Christians, crusaders and other influential Americans, embraced the movement. The new rights was like the rights given to us by God which cannot be taken away by the government since these rights are meant to protect others injustices and evils like those happen nowadays with the politicians. In furtherance to this, the new rights were like the covenant in the bible that spread power and unified everyone.
In conclusion, the bible and other religious books like the Quran form the foundations of truth and different values not only spiritually but also politically. These scriptures address the government widely and provide freedom and liberty to everyone. Finally, if the current governments were to consider the teachings and ways of the bible political, we would dwell in a better society than what we have currently.
