Advancing Dental Standing Program in the US
I grew up determined to improve the lives of people who were undergoing dental problems. The dream took place gradually with my passion for dentistry growing over time. This was after learning that most of the people in my neighborhood were facing dental problems. One of my neighbors had struggled with dental problems that made him vulnerable to the situation. Through these experiences, I became more passionate about becoming a dentist. I interacted with people who have been in the profession; I learned more about the opportunities it offers and benefits to people. After careful consideration and exposer to the field of dentistry, I have decided to seek and acquire skills in dentistry to archive my desire to become a dentist and provide life-enhancing benefits for the patients.
My goal is to become a first-class dentist in general practice. The field has various opportunities that can help me in maintaining long term relationships with patients and in communities’ by providing education in oral and to the dental health patient. I have majored in psychology for my bachelor’s degree; I aim to apply my knowledge in creating better relationships with patients since I will be able to understand their feelings while making them feel comfortable as they seek treatment. To ensure that I was fully ready for my new task, I had sought as much exposure as I could in the dentistry field. I have taken a part-time course in dentistry to learn some of the skills that I can apply in my career before advancing my education in the United States. I have been working as a Dental Assistant for one year during my part-time to improve my understanding of how to deal with patients and what is expected of me in my career. I have also volunteered in offering oral education to people concerning their dental health, that is how they can get treatment, how they can avoid some of the common dental problems, among others. All these exposures have proved to me that I have made the right choice to advance the dental standing program in the United States.
I am aware that a dentist needs to be culturally sensitive and aware; through my experiences, I have been able to develop these characteristics. Learning in the United States will come with new challenges of environmental change, culture, among other new factors that I am likely to experience on campus. Having interacted with people from different cultures before, I believe I will be able to thrive despite the challenges and archive my goal. I will utilize my abilities to get on well quickly with people from other ethnic backgrounds. I am anxious to experience the American culture and pursue my advanced dental standing program while sharing my knowledge of my own rich heritage.
In conclusion, I am academically qualified, and I have demonstrated flexibility and determination in my previous work as an assistant dentist. I showed a great work ethic while committing myself fully to my work to ensure that patients were attended to in the most appropriate manner. I have also acquired significant exposure that is likely to improve my skills in dentistry once I complete my course. My interpersonal skills are also applicable to course success. However, the most important reason is my passion for becoming a highly skilled and qualified dentist. Through this, I will be able to archive my dream of helping people with a health issue and showing them the care they deserve.
