Alexa is a Microsoft product that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to offer virtual assistance. Alexa offers quite many benefits, and thus every company is trying to incorporate it into their everyday processes. One company that uses Alexa is Starbucks, which uses Alexa to improve its customer service by giving them different options on where to order their favorites from which is more convenient for them. All amazon devices have a new Skill added to them, which is known as Starbuck reorder.
Once a user links their Amazon account to Starbuck reorder, one can order from home. It also helps someone to know the balance in the Starbuck’s account. The Skill also helps a user to order from any 10 Starbuck that the user had previously visited. The users also noted some downside to this Skill. One of it is that if one had not placed an order before at Starbucks, then you cannot use Alexa to place an order, you will be forced to use the Starbuck’s app to place the first order. Secondly, the Skill allows you to place an order of just your favorite other than giving you several options from the menu. Customers have complained that they would want to have a more diversified menu in the Skill. Customers have also complained that they would like more features, such as placing an order and getting it at a specific time. Customers would also want to select new locations when ordering their favorites. Amazon responded to these complaints by saying that they will incorporate even better features that will allow customers to order anything from the menu, not just their favorites, and order from any location.
