Dr. Eleanor Acworth’s love for animals started way back before she even joined the veterinary school. Her family kept an assortment of small pets, and as she grew up, she worked in an animal hospital and a research department of a Philadelphia Zoo. She also travelled to Alaska and Africa in a quest to study wildlife.
She would then move to Hudson Valley and become a mixed animal , who would enjoy working with both farm and pet animals, large and small animals, and some exotic animals as well. A practice she has been on for over 20 years now. She is also a volunteer in various organizations that have an interest in the mixed animal practice and enjoys competitive rowing.
