Assignment 1: Analysis of the Effects of Population Growth

My name Is Braylon Lucas and I work as a Consultant for the United Nations. Hereby speak on behalf of my company to address some of the impacts and causes of global population growth which has become the main purpose of the climate crisis in most developing countries. In this paper, there are three main sections in which one will cover the main problem, the possible findings that the United Nations can use to cater to future policy decisions and the causes and impacts of population growth.
In June 2019, the current united states census bureau word population stated that the present population growth is more than 7.5 billion people in the world. This exceeds the population of 7.2 billion in the last 2years.In tandem with the United States, other countries are the most populated in the world each having more than a hundred million. These countries include Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Russia, Mexico, Japan, Ethiopia, and the Philippines.It is expected for most of these countries to continue growing like Japan and Russia to see a decrease in population growth significantly by 2050. Of all these countries listed above, one I can relate to the most is brazil which is neighboring to my home town Peru.
Greenhouse gas is one factor that can lead to population growth in brazil. However, population growth is convinced to be a reason for greenhouse emissions of gas, especially CO2 emissions which as a result has a higher effect on human activities. Therefore, population measures could be a short-term period control on how to effectively lower the emission of population growth Mostly is the co2 gas emissions.
Greenhouse gases are the warming which is brought up when the atmosphere traps heat radiating from Earth toward space. Water vapor is one of the common. The most profuse greenhouse gas, but most importantly, it leads to a reaction to the climate. At the time of evaporation of water, the water vapor which changes to steam which is produced during the process traps heat radiation which then maximizes the Earth’s atmosphere warms, but so does the possibility of precipitation and the cloud, making these some of the most significant feedback mechanisms to the greenhouse impact. Some of the greenhouse gases are Carbon dioxide which is known to be the most effective gases. Carbon dioxide is brought or diffused into the atmosphere naturally during the volcano eruption or respiration including the burning of fossil fuels and the cutting of so many trees. All these activities surge the atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration by more than a third since the Revolution of industries started. This is the most significant long-lived “forcing” of the climate crisis. Methane is another key greenhouse effect. This gas is emitted into the atmosphere during the transportation and production of coal, natural gas, and also oil. More greenhouse gases are Nitrous Oxide- is produced as a result of industrial and agricultural activities, incineration of solid waste and fossil fuels, as well as during the treatment of wastewater. It is correct to say that the existence of global warming is mainly because of greenhouse gases, which is released both through natural resources and other human activities such as agricultural, industrial, and transportation activities. Other gases such as Chlorofluorocarbons are another type of gases that are part of the greenhouse gas family. Synthetic compounds entirely of industrial origin used in several applications, but now greatly regulated in production and released to the atmosphere by global agreement for their ability to bring to destruction of the ozone layer.
The United States has stated, China which is known to have the world’s biggest population for years is also by fastest-growing economies and with the highest CO2 emission. In the year 2017, china was close to 10,000 million metric tons of CO2 and this is all from the burning of fossil fuel which was produced by the superpower country. On a per-capita basis, China’s CO2 emissions of 7.1 metric tons per person give clear evidence that of most countries on this list but still rank in the top 50 worldwide global population. In China, there is an enormous production of coal as a result of that being the source of generating electricity in the country… Although CO2 emission in China has slightly reduced from 75% to 70% from the year 1993 to the year 2015, yet the overall coal production is still tripled to nearly 4,000 million metric tons, which is half of the overall global coal production. By using time series data to access the auto-regressive distribution econometric approach to cointegration, it was observed that all human activities through the combustion of CO2 GHG and combustion of fossil fuel spread into the atmosphere leading to major problems country both in health and economic wise. Some of the problems in Brazil are facing as a result of the climate crisis are: Climate crisis maximizing the frequency of changing precipitation patterns and droughts, both of which have water stresses and exacerbated heat, especially in the arid northwest of the country. The shrinking of the Lake basin in brazil is indicative of climate change’s footprint in some parts. Nature typically theory has shown that the savannahs, rainforest, and woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa have lost some tons of CO2 over the past seven years due to droughts and cutting of trees, with brazil experiencing some of the greatest losses. There is a serious fear of lakes drying up which has increased the risk of hunger, health, and even displacement of people. The increase in greenhouse gases such as CO2 has resulted in desertification forcing about 90,000 farming families to move northwards. The change crisis in climate has not only to impact agriculturally but also there is some health risk associated due to equally devastating and use of wood Burning wood in open fires in enclosed spaces, as is common practice in rural areas in Brazil, produces soot and carbon monoxide, which are air contaminants; long-term exposure to these pollutants has been linked to a range of respiratory diseases such as bronchitis breathing problem. Brazil experiences the biggest number of air pollution-related deaths globally. The topography along the northern oceans and delta consists of low-lying terrain and an intricate network of waterways, making the area prone to flooding and storm surges and this fragility exacerbates socio-political tensions. This broad context will continue shaping security dynamics for brazil and its neighbors such as Peru. If not adequately addressed, the interactions among subnational and terrorist groups, environmental change, population displacement of people, environmental change, and more will mean that brazil will require unique approaches to security regarding its nuclear energy crisis sector.
The brazil government is working to address the issues in this report highlights the many signs that the country recognizes. Because of its vast and connected with population, it is worth emphasizing that the country holds significant resources to bring about to the challenge. It is more likely that international assistance will be needed to help or aid brazil prevail against security risks and its nuclear climate crisis I internal pressure and current constraints continue. The nuclear energy plans, the converging hazard, climate fragility, and the security trends provide special insights into these problems and offer recommendations for the United States. I believe we can make a change if we come together to win the war against global heating.
