The condition that has been chosen anorexia since this is the psychological condition that one of my friends is suffering. Anorexia is also known as the anorexia Nervosa, which is a potentially life-threatening psychological eating disorder—the people with this condition record low body weight in relation to body type and height. It is mainly occurring due to the fear of gaining weight by the victim who places a high value on their body shape and weight to the extent that it interferes with their lives.

There are about 30 million people globally who suffer from this condition in the United States, and with the modeling that comes in social media, many people, especially of the female gender fear to gain weight. Therefore, I need to have a broad understanding of the condition since numerous people are suffering from the condition due to the influence of social media.

The signs and symptoms are those associated with the loss of weight and restrictive eating, which result in loss of weight. The person may appear emaciated and have an abnormal menstrual cycle.

The best prevention measure is through building the self-esteem of a person to accept the body weight.

No particular treatment drug has been designed for the condition; the remedy is mainly through use selective serotonin reuptake v(SSRIs) drugs and psychotherapy such as CBT.
