Acceleration
Acceleration means speeding up. When the acceleration is greater, the change in velocity also becomes higher. Change in velocity per unit time is the average velocity. The SI unit for accelerations is m/s² which literary shows the meters moved in a second and the corresponding velocity that changes every time. The velocity is a vector quantity and therefore has magnitude and direction. Acceleration is also a vector in the unchanged direction as variation in velocity. Since the velocity is also a vector quantity, it can change either in direction or magnitude. Acceleration is, therefore, a variation in either direction or speed, or both. If an object slows down, it shows that it is accelerating in the opposite direction, the phenomena is called deceleration.
Electric power and energy
The electrical energy of an appliance depends on the charge moved and the voltage involved. The expression of potential energy is PE=Qv, where q is the moving charge and V represent voltage. Power, on the other hand, is the amount of heat moved per unit time, which is usually seconds. Electric power, therefore, is the product of the current multiply by the voltage used. The SI unit for potential energy (PE) is Joule, and the units for power are watts. Power is expressed as P=IV. Power can also be expressed in terms of resistance as P=I²R. The electrical bill will be higher if the electric appliances are used for a longer time, depending on the concept of electric and power. The cost of using the electronic device can, therefore easily be estimated if the consumption rate in watts is identified, the time on in hours and the cost per kilowatt-hour for the electric utility.

The autonomous technology, especially in designing modern vehicles, will make use of electric energy. The calculation of the energy used by the car will be vital in coming up with the vehicle. The knowledge of electric power is applied in modifying electric light in the autonomous vehicle when moving at night. The electric light enables easy navigation of the vehicle is light and reduces instances of accidents. Just like conventional vehicles, autonomous vehicles also use a power generator which produces electricity by drawing power from the engine. The energy that is generated is enough in meeting the whole electrical components of the car. The power bank especially the battery helps in supplying power to start the vehicle. The engine firing especially the ignition coil that requires a spark to fire the cylinder.
Acceleration has become relevant in autonomous technology as it has played an important role, especially when determining the motion of the autonomous vehicle. Acceleration will show the speed of a moving vehicle, whether it is accelerating or decelerating. The speed of the autonomous vehicle is determining the ranges of acceleration also become significant in stimulating the driving experience of the self-employed drivers. The projected independent driving techniques can also be animated using the acceleration. The driving techniques that can be determined using acceleration include light trail transit, defensive and assertive.
