Assignment Instructions:
A typical annotated bibliography consists of a citation and summary of a resource. For your final project, the Annotated Bib+ will consist of those elements plus:
- Relevance to subject:how does this article support your topic?
- Importance of author in the field:find out how many times this article/book has been cited. Include any other important information you discover about the author–try a Google search on him or her!
- An in-text citation exampleincluded in summary: use a quotation from the article in your summary and cite it correctly.
- Paraphrasing example:Include a few sentences in quotation marks, properly cited, and then paraphrase those sentences directly below the quotation also properly cited (like you were including the paraphrase in a paper). This should be separate from the summary.
- Images: Pretend you are presenting your bibliography at a conference and the organizers encourage engaging, multi-media presentations. Select a creative commons licensed image to represent, supplement, or accompany each citation as if this image would be shown on the big screen during your presentation. Cite the image directly below it in a small font, as you would for a presentation. (You do not need to re-mix these images for this assignment.)
