Attitudes
Attitudes refer to a person’s mental state which is based on value system, beliefs, emotions and tendency to behave in a certain manner. The attitude of an individual reflects on feelings, thoughts and behavior in a particular situation. Attitude is among the small concepts that creates a big change. attitude can also be described as our response to persons, events , things and place. peoples attitude towards others, places, events or situations determines the decisions that are considered. Attitude comprises three elements namely; cognitive, affective and behavioral components
Cognitive is a component of attitude which refers to the attribute, thoughts and beliefs that we relate to a particular object. The cognitive component is highly related to a persons general knowledge. In this scenario, when a marketer promotes his or her product, the consumers are able to perceive it basing on the relevant information they have concerning that product. The cognitive elements are assessing perspectives which are measured by asking concerning thoughts.
Affective/ emotional is an element of attitude that deals with emotions. It is associated with statements. Affective component is all about the feelings that are brought out concerning a particular thing. The marketers use this attitude component to craft marketing information which arouses feelings from the consumers and in return stimulate purchase. In order to determine the changes that occur in individual, one has to evaluate the ability of their information to arouse the feelings of the consumers
Conative/Behavioral component. This component describes a person’s behavior which occurs as a result of his or her feeling emotions towards an object or another person. It implies an intent to behave in a particular manner. The marketers have an opportunity of observing the behavioral component of attitude from their consumers. The marketers can market their products in a way that targets their behavior hence stimulating purchase.
The best element of attitude that suits my advertisement is the Cognitive component. The reason why I will use this component is due to the fact that the promotion of the business will be done using the social media and this will allow my business to send more information to the consumers and in return be able to generate increase in purchase of the pets products and services. The rising attitudes of the consumers towards the social media is an important aspect for my business which will facilitate effective marketing that will trigger consumer purchases. I can utilize the social media to create awareness that will necessitate changing the beliefs and perspectives of consumers and in return changing their buying behavior.
The other reason why cognitive component is best for pet holdings enterprise is that I will get the opportunity to craft messages which alter the attitude of the consumers and encourage them to use the pet products and services. Finding an opportunity to tell the consumers concerning the services that are provided by the Pet holdings enterprise together with the pet products will encourage most of the consumers to try the business products and hence stimulate a purchase response. Additionally cognitive element of attitudes allows the marketer to present information that gives the consumers room to evaluate data and make the right decisions regarding purchase.
