Audience Analysis

Question 1

Veterans are a group of people who have gone through experiences in the war, and a speaker should be conversant with their interests. First, the interests of veterans could revolve around consolation for the loss incurred in a war, congratulations for their job, or even analysis of the plans on their welfare. War veterans may not be interested in a political talk or empty promises.

The vocal delivery is essential in any form of speech delivery as it determines the response obtained from the audience. A large auditorium requires excellent delivery in terms of articulation, pitch, volume, rate, and even the pronunciation of words. The use of instruments can enhance vocal delivery, although the enhancement only depends on the quality of delivery from the speaker.

The language of a speaker determines the understanding capability as well as the attitude of the audience. A group of eight-year-olds, for example, require an efficient choice of language to meet their interests. For example, the use of complex terms while addressing eight-years may not provide the required outcome. Instead, the speaker should consider using simple language and use real-time examples such as toys in their speech.

Egocentric members are only interested in matters that directly affect them and only want their opinions to stand.
