Before reading the case study, I knew that classroom management was just a straightforward process of giving commands that are adhered to by the student without question. In addition to this, I also thought that as a teacher in the course of class management, I should ensure that students are taught all the lessons with minimal interruptions. Behaviors that may disrupt the delivery of content in class are as well presented in the course of class management.
Depending on the type of students the teacher is dealing with, and their perceptions, different behavior management system is adopted. For instance, in a case where the teacher believes corporal punishment could be the solution to students’ behavior, they assume the system. In other cases, teachers may opt to offer rewards to entice students to behave well. On the other hand, in a situation whereby the students argue that they only need their views to be heard, the institution can opt to shift to a behavior management system that allows the students to express their feelings on an issue. By showing care to the student’s feelings, they can change from bullying the teachers and begin respecting them.
Content Contribution
Although the administration had good intentions, they did not come up with an excellent reward system. They should have considered rewarding those who improved in performance. In addition to this, the administration did not seek to understand the root cause of misbehavior from the students and the opinions of the teachers and students.
A new behavior management system should be implemented to consider both the students’ feelings since they are the most affected group. The students should be handled in a

Caring manner to avoid creating a hostile environment where students perceive teachers as their enemies.
As a colleague, I would advise them to air their feelings freely and resolve conflicts. Their resolution should create a win-win solution. The students should be aware of the rules that cannot be compromised.
