When it comes to a study or an investigation context, a source can be described as an article where information and data have originated. The sources assist us the learners in understanding more about a particular subject, its functions, and its relation to a specific occurrence. Sources play an essential role in our studies as it helps us to solidify our arguments by showing that we did our investigation on a topic or a subject. There exist three different forms of sources which are the primary source, secondary, and general source. The primary sources can be described as the first-hand accounts related to a subject. On the other hand, secondary sources are seen as accounts of things that are not primary sources. Such examples of secondary sources are published research, media research, and newspaper articles. General references are easy to use and understand and are described as the combined primary plus secondary sources. Examples of general sources are online databases, magazines, and news stories.
The article about the 911 call has been cited from different kinds of sources, both from books, articles, journals, even from the media. In total, the report consists of 41 sources from which four are primary sources because there were interviews are done and speeches recorder, including direct observations. Five of the cited references were from other documents. Secondary sources, such as published books or articles, are seventeen. They are used in the report to give more Intel and information to the author about the subject that deals with gender-based violence in specific to women. General sources come in the form of online databases which the 911 article has cited nine sources from the internet. Among the online cited sources, Wikipedia was not used to give information about the related subject. The sources used in this article assisted the author not to strain using his mind but to write using the information published in the books and on the internet platforms.
